Anyone know what kind of lights the m1031 trucks use for beacon lights. Have two of them on myntruckmonly one works switched out bulbs and checked grounds still no deal. Looks like I need another light and possibly a bulb source any info would be awesome.
I remember driving this truck was alpha company's A6 truck and yard crew. Before you go to far with It I would change all fluids and check all the bearings can't tell you how many times this thing was stuck on the beach or in the surf. Originally came from acb2 little creek Virginia our mechs...
Changed oil and filter, drained both axles and filled with gear oil and aintislip additive in front end. Changed tranny fluid and filter. Now need to look into next weeks job.
Got the new solenoid put it on works like a charm. Was very easy to swap out took about thirty minutes and everything works as it should. One question though while climbing around the top of motor noticed a puddle of fuel at back of motor valley. How hard is it to change the rubber lines...
Is there a certain way the solenoid goes in there or does it set in that it. Noticed there is a "j" hook on the solenoid does it hook in or as long as lays flush with pump good to go.
So I just picked up my 1986 cucv it is a 1031 model jump started it and drove off the lot onto a wrecker. Well that was about the extent of my good luck so to say. Started messing with it going to change oil, transmission, axles, and transfer case fluid this weekend. Already did fuel filter...
That is awesome i just sold all the cese i had due to a transfer with a deployment so the family is better off. But all i can say is that when i get back i wish i could be lucky enough to buy a house with an old relic to bring back to life sitting on it. Very happy to see you got it running...
shouldnt they go to the wire block on firewall not to the resistor. I put in a push button for my glow plugs and my nato port still works no reisistor or card in mine.
