Not sure what scrap is going for in your area but here you will get at least $2000 scraping a deuce if everything is drained . I doubt a scrapyard will sell it for less than they will get scraping it . If they are paying $2000 there is profit on top of that when they load it on the train .

Just a heads up on storing quantities of oil or fuel here in michigan It needs ti be stored in double-walled tanks or have a containment pit around it . With concrete containment pits the bottom and sidewall have to be poured in one pour. This includes fuel and oil storage on farms.

When you say serviced what was done ? what parts are new , was it just pads and shoes ? Knowing what parts were replace will help with diagnosis . Peoples opinion of a brake service varies widely , especially when putting one up for sale. What kind of fluid did they use did they replace it...

You never answered the question about the budget . Your looking $ 4000 and up for a decent truck and another couple grand in tires and wheels . Much over 11.00 - 20 tires isn't recomended on stock rims. As for seaching craigslist try this site ; www.statewidelist.com
