    9:00 V 11:00 tires

OP- A lot of guys become concerned with the load rating of the 9x20 steer tires (NDCC), the weight that is on them is close to max load. 11x20's have a higher load rating. Tire wear is supposed to be less with the 11's, due to different rubber compound. I got mine out of Fruitland ID, on the...

    M35A2 Charging system questions

A trick that may work for you is to use your batteries to start the truck, and then shut off the accessory switch. It may provide marginal benefit to you, but if you're running the truck during the day, and the generator isn't giving you juice, then you're draining your batteries by running your...

Every home owner needs a truck.

I think if you take kids to school, they have to ride in a booster seat until they're 23, 240 pounds, or smoking a pack a day, whichever comes first. and remember to buckle it in tight.aua And they can't ride in the front seat either.

consider a drip pan. Also, getting to know local Steel Soldiers can drastically reduce a future tow bill.

Every home owner needs a truck.

Good job making sure you're clear of covenants, now go downtown and check out your zoning restrictions. I took the same steps you did, checked to make sure no covenants, felt good about picking the right house, (built in an older, quiet part of town) until I got a call one day from a police...

67 Deuce dies when i hit 4th gear

Is one of them hoses cut, in the first picture? I would venture that if you have a bad hose on your in-tank assembly, you can run ok on a full tank of gas, until you get down to the level of the break, and then the truck starts...running out of gas.

Bug out vehicle Deuce, H1, Suburban,

Depends on the quality of the snow, type of tires, and the time of year. Never venture out on the roads during the first snow, everyone else's learning curve might involve you in an accident.

Bug out vehicle Deuce, H1, Suburban,

Just some food for thought about the volcano situation--I'm a few hundred miles downwind of the volcano, and a local from north of here said he was walking home from church when he saw what looked like a big, dark storm coming fast across the desert. He wasn't tuned into a radio station, didn't...

New EPA Regulations On Large Truck Emissions

pardon the volatile question, but is the underlying motive for this new legislation merely a slow, downward slide of freedom due to abuse of bureaucratic powers, or...is there an important new technology out that really can save everyone in fuel costs, and improve the quality of life for all...

Bug out vehicle Deuce, H1, Suburban,

you would also have to look at what the most sensible evacuation action is. If you are using a limited access roadway to reach your destination (which might not be up in the hills eating beans out of a can, it might be your cousin's townhouse 250 miles away) then an extremely agile vehicle...

    Cheaper than a tow truck!!

after it went clunk, did the buzzing come back on? If the buzzing didn't come back on, me thinks that the problem would lie between the batteries/cables, and the rest of the truck. Of course, sometimes me thinks wrong!

    Arizona requirements for WMO

maybe start here for EPA clarification on the federal level: Laws and Regulations for Used Oil | Common Wastes & Materials | US EPA then try this link for the phone # to the state EPA boys, to make sure AZ doesn't have stricter laws: Arizona | Indoor Air | US Environmental Protection Agency...

    insurence!! ahhh

maybe your underlying problem is your approach--you're one-at-a-timing. Look in the phone book for an insurance agency that you don't recognize from the national commercials, chances are that the no-name is an insurance broker. An insurance broker's job is to match up a client with one of...

    Arizona requirements for WMO

The principles that are the theme of the thread, if I'm not mistaken, is if you are required to pay taxes on your WMO, and how you pay those taxes. While it is true that many pay those taxes at the time of their annual filing, others have to pay monthly. Normal people pay their road taxes on...

    Arizona requirements for WMO

When I read up on EPA regs for blending diesel with WMO, I understood it to read that once it is blended (mixture portions were not specified) with diesel fuel it is then considered diesel fuel, and is no longer HazMat. Of course, that loophole may not have applied to the forementioned garage...

    Arizona requirements for WMO

easiest way for me to get the answer for my state was to call the Tax department up and ask them. They didn't want to know my name and home address, they were interested in giving an honest taxpayer the information needed to pay road tax.:tin hat:

    Flame heater check valve

Interesting. Your's isn't the Buna-N type that everyone else on here is grousing about. What made you pull the O-ring specs on your unit in the first place?

    Wyoming/Montana Deuce

GSA Auctions might be a more appropriate avenue than GL. You're going to learn what all of the Westies already know--it's not as easy to score OD Iron out here, due to not as many bases/depots. It may also be just as easy, if not better, to get an old semi tractor locally that gets poor gas...
