60 front hold up just fine for the off road guys with lunch box lockers . like a lockright / Spartan / others .

special step by step to blead out a regular system . add in hydroboost its a few more steps .
and fyi best to jack up and support front end with wheels off ground to help turn wheel better till full blead out no air .
anyone ever figure out how to do free wheel on one ?
or swap it for another winch with this option ?
seems kind of stupid there was no free spool option . :shrugs:
or am I missing something so stupid simple :?:
why not just buy newer control valve with electric caps on the ends to do wireless / hard wire for switches . like the newer tow trucks do these days .
this might help do the job a bit better with out being stuck in the cab to run the controls .
I respooled the front on the 936 and it SUCKED...
got a 936a2 and the controls are there own box/bracket on pass side of auto trans shifter to floor .
the ctis unit is mounted on the auto trans shifter body left side.
for years now that is the style that comes on new tire machines .
there is a square cut oring inside that can be flipped once worn a bit then replaced if you so wish . but by then its worn and ready for a new one.
just make sure you can get your hand with the chuck in duel rim holes for the...
you want what they call a EUROPEN chuck . http://www.bowessealfast.com/c-264-euro-style.aspx
there is 2 styles also . open / free flow for tire machines and other devices with control of air flow .
then there is a closed style for just on a air hose with air all the time.
I have had...
cummins 8.3 in a2 series 5 ton trucks with haldex air compressor .
haldex 3559545k is the upper half gasket / spring / o-ring kit.
this is the newer part # cross referenced from the old original info off there site .
well figured it all out my self with no tsm info or others posting up .
so for others later on here is the info .
drain coolant from pass side lower radiator tank drain . going to need 5-6 gal out to get down and have room to spare .
undo coolant lines from driver side block to air...
so I finaly got the old original engine tag back from the blown motor .
called cummins and they say the info is not avalible / blocked to them .
trying to find out if this replacement motor will be able to correctly / safe / no problems take the aftercooler intake unit ? ? ?
post 7 above...
where is the best place to install the coolant filter on a a2 with 8.3 ?
got to do some work on one and I have a few extra remote filter body mounts from some engine I scrapped .
AND FOR ORIGNAL POSTER : basic blue dawn dish soap is a good cleaner to remove oil . try that in the tank and see...
was just watching shop the other day on amd metal dirst for the mopar / gm resto guys . they showed there plant they control to there exact specs in china if I recall.

wow Cortland ny . . . . just up the road from me .
evilbay has 4 listed if you search 6.2 gm block heater . 1000 watt 110 volt fits in freeze plug .

o.k. as posted ord has good stuff.
I have aslo run a lift block / spacer for the dana 60 stuff IT SUCKED !!!!! only in my truck a few weeks then out it come .
best way is 3-4" lift but still stock steering = drop pitman arm for steering box .
perfect world 4" or more = crossover steering ...
year for parts truck will be just fine .
but make sure the flywheel year takes the same part # clutch .
these old trucks were fairly forgiving until 85-up oem hydraulic clutch stuff . then it would get a little fun .
