You can use the glanhands only when towing a 5-ton that has the front gladhands. Airline goes from service gladhand on towing truck-- airpack on towed truck. No need to plug other end of j-pipe. Dennis

Had to remove the plugs off the master cyl to pull it before. But I did something different last time,and didn't have to pull plugs. Darn if I can remember what. And you towed how many trucks with the 109!?

Did the long haul towing a M108 with a deuce. And it was in hilly PA, was down to 10 mph... Glad you made it, the 109 looks really nice.

I have a 86 in mine. works just fine, 70 psi oil pressure when running down the road.

I thought you could fit the 14-20's on a 5-ton regular rims. Could be wrong...

I think the circular marks are from when it broke, and was rubbing against the other part of the crankshaft. The pogo comment was a complete waste of space.

I don't know if all the tach's measure hours at the same rpm. It was printed on the back of mine.

On the hour meter, it is set to measure a hour at 2000 rpm. So if your running 1000 rpm, it counts 1/2 speed. (1 hour 1000rpm=1/2 hour on tach) So really the hour meter is a RPM counter. 2000X60Xnumber of hours on tach is how many times your engine has turned. Dennis

Don't bother adjusting anything yet. Open the bleeder on the top of the secondary filters and make sure you have fuel coming out. If not, check for clogged filters/intake pump running. I think I had to adjust the low idle setting after turning up the fuel, but wasn't much and didn't keep the...

I have David's book on military vehicles. Did he write one specific to the M35/M44 chassis? Just went and refreshed my memory on Doyle's book. Forgot just how much information is there. Would love to see larger/multiple/color photo's of the various trucks.

Does that book cover all the variants? M109, m48, m108, and a dozen others. Any modifications or repairs covered? What is in the jeep bible book? Would that format work?

What about a book on the Deuce... I'm thinking not so much a tech or history manuel, but combination of both. Or even two books, one a rewritten TM, to make it easier to understand, picks up where the TM's leave off, and have all the information in one book. The other could deal with the...

I don't know... maybe 1 hour per 5 driving? My old Jeep is about 2 hours working to one driving.
