I ran a tank of $26/quart Syn race oil. The deuce loved it. I nabbed a 55gallon drum of it because someone dumped less then 4 quarts of WMO in it on accident. They thought it was the WMO drum.
Been running WMO as a primary fuel for the least year and a half. From September to April, I mix it 50/50 with either gas or diesel(what ever is cheaper at the pump). Rest of the year its more of a 90-100% WMO to gas/diesel. Yet to see any side effects.
Thats what mine looked like after water. Id def drain and flush the tank. It took 6 blocks for mine to build enough pressure in the (I assume from the water) to make 3 of my injection lines to start leaking like crazy.
Last time I took the deuce in the snow. I chained up the front end, and just the rear-rear axle. Used Single chains on the rear axle. Worked good. I didnt air the tires down at all. I came to a stop in a drive that was deep enough that I couldnt open my door all the way. The truck hopped (was...
I would check out some diesel repair shops. That price seems extremly high. I know where there is a crate LDS with 0 hours for 600 bucks less then that. And thats a complete drop in engine.
I added some extra offroad lights. There is now 9 of them. I took them off to paint up, just been to lazy to reinstall them lately.
Each one is a 100w H4 haligen, and they are bright alone. Havent had em all hooked up yet.
Woot finally got the garage clean out and the deuce inside so I can work on it. Time to swap out the HH and all the injection lines and all the fuel lines(again). Hopefully I can get this stupid fuel problem taken care of.
I just need a shatbox 105 for hauling firewood and maybe for the image of towing a mil trailer =0. Otherwise my other civvy trailers fill all the roles on I need.
The turbo was put on specficly to clean up emisions, not to boost hp. From what I've read, that with the high compression of the motor, and a high boost = blown headgaskets.
If ya need 16 ounces of something, A snapple bottle works great. Thats what we used to put 2stroke oil into our boat. I dont know if the cucvs have check valves like gassers, but if they dont, it should work great.
