I know this has come up many times, but now it's my turn.
I finally got a towbar, but the clevises/adaptors that attach in place of the lifting shackles are missing. Does anyone know of a source?
I seem to recall someone had found some that could be modified to fit properly. That would be fine...
Just Curious,
When were multifuel engines first put in deuces?
I don't remember actually seeing any in 'Nam while there '66-'68, but I seem to recall hearing about multifuel trucks of some kind back then.
Most of our SeaBee vehicles were older, around late '50s.

Mounting pads tagged 00-740-9514 & 01-315-8921. Shackles...
I've been looking for the parts to put a soft top on my Deuce in place of the hardtop. One guy has a set (rails & frame) marked NSN 01-740-9596 which he says MAY be right.
Does anyone know how to research an NSN without having to pay?

I've used the flame heater to help it...
Getting ready to install winch on myM35A2 Deuce. In checking over winch I got, I find I can't fully engage or disengage the winch clutch. Clutch lever turns a few degrees each way if I tap it with a lead hammer, but won't go to either detent position.
I can turn the driveshaft pretty easily...
