That is really a loaded question because although the 24v split system is a bit more trouble the problems being described in this thread are more enviromental. Same thing will happen to any vehichle under the same condtions. I have the same problems with my Ford Fuel trucks. Winter road salt...
Well....I would say sort of. Think of it this way Cold start is putting alot of drain on the batts, plus glows, plus the rubber on the belt is ice cold so ...yeah I could see a problem more "apparent" in cold weather.
Well, the real problem is Gates Belt company. It is a little known fact and only us old farts will remember but Gates used to make what was known as "8" series belts. These belts were 7/16 thick and it was a **** good belt. In fact a Gates 8 series belt would usually outlast the engine. Of...
X2. I bought some not too long ago. IIRC the 6.5 TD uses he same ones and Auto parts do sell them, problem is idiots behind the counter don't know how to look them up.
Yeah Like I said this thing is way overkill but I had it so why not use it. I just want to make sure 8 psi isn't too much and messing with the advance.
Well my 6.2 has the usual drain back issues common to the factory mechanical LP. You can replace it with another one or installed a check valve I suppose but I personally just don't like them. A stock LP for a 6.5 or a Walbro FRB-5 is more than sufficient for a 6.2, even a modded one but...
Well the CUCV comezs to the rescue again. Got the skidsteer stuck bad in the woods trying to get firewood. It's mud season.. Had to use the winch this time. it dragged it out. My welding job seems ok. I definitely put it to the test. That is a 12,000 lb winch. Gotta add a snatch block to my...
2600$ is not that bad. First off let's rule out a TH700r4 swap cause we all know at best they are junk and still cost upwards of 1500$ to build a newer one(if you can find one) and install. So gthe other decent option is a 4l80e with a stand alone. Gonna cost you about 1500+ to buy and build one...
Can never go wrong with BF All terrains. I have them on my 1008. I love them. Unfortunately they are discontinued in my size which really really sucks but in 15" no problem.
