Painting soft tops (aka giving the girl some makeup)

Behr also works well on the soft tops. They're surprisingly porous and absorb the paint well, hence the multiple coats of rattle can that are required.

    USMC M813 fording question

Another question. Does the vent tube, on the top of the airpack, need to be routed above the water line for fording operations?

M1102 GL purchase - can it be towed home without a riser hitch?

Your Tacoma can handle it. Get yourself a set of the magnetic trailer lights, in case the M1102's lights aren't working, and watch your speeds. When you're doing your once over of the trailer, make sure all the lug nuts are tight and bring a spare if you can. Good luck and be safe. I...

Picking up my 91 923a2 friday

The M932A2 are a little harder to come by, than other M939s. I got lucking and scored a good one, off GL from Camp Shelby, that only needed a lift pump and an air dryer. Good luck on the hunt.

    ARB 5 ton locker

You'll sell more volume, numbers wise, to the "redneck rich" swamp buggy crowd than you will on here, only because there's more of them.

    m925a2 winch questions.

Take a look at the Technical Manuals (TMs) posted on here so as you don't get yourself, or anyone else, hurt. Thanks, be safe and have fun.

Looking at buying a deuce and I have a couple questions

I can't tell by the picture but it appears that there are no bolts on the underside of that spring hanger. This would explain the crack in the bracket as the torque to the rear end will tear that hanger to pieces, if it's not properly bolted down...

Looking at buying a deuce and I have a couple questions

The size of the lift is a concern but of a greater concern is the fact that he used the weaker rectangular tubing, instead of a stronger solid steel lift block. This is a clue that this owner half a$$es things. The picture of him crushing the car leads me to believe he might abuse his toys, and...

    Have you named you truck?

Just named the bobbed M813 "Project Mayhem". It seemed fitting.

    Bobber Rear Axle Problem

Plus all the movement of the tandems "walking" back and forth that isn't present on a bobber.

Looking for help with buying a Hemmitt

They all have 4 wheel steering. The M984 has a grove crane on it. They're 96" wide so legally they can be driven down the road. I'm hearing that some states are difficult about registering them though. I'm sure some one with more HEMTT experience will chime in shortly that can answer your...

HMMWVs assembled in Greece - pix

That single front windshield with three wipers is stupid. Can't imagine up-armoring that, and that rear door glass is ornamental more so than functional...

    M809 Sprag question

Huge thanks to 73m819. He answered my question and walked me through the MWO for the poppet/sprag air switch.

    M809 Sprag question

I just wanted to confirm something, on my M813 sprag, before I go tearing into in. I ran my truck until the air tanks were full and shut it down. I hear the air cylinder engaging the sprag, when I shift into reverse. I also hear the air cylinder as I shift from reverse to neutral. What I...

    Bobber Rear Axle Problem

LMTV seat options for three kids and two adults

I like the MRAP seat idea, especially the 5 point harnesses.

    USMC M813 fording question

I relocated the fuel tank for that exact reason. I like the idea of the ball valve on the bell housing that's way easier than placing/pulling the drain plug, especially when the underside is dripping water and mud all over you... Definitely need to pickup a couple spare fuel filters.
