Mntsnow's recovery and building of The Beast

Or it might be the ABS/limiter valve at the front of the truck as that also happened to a member here just last week.. When I was looking for leaks (only found one very minor one in the constant supply side (which I did fix) and did find one hose on the passenger side front (rear most hose on...

Mntsnow's recovery and building of The Beast

A few people have PM'd me asking for pictures of how &/or where I mounted the cameras. I'll have to take a new picture of the rear camera when I go back over to my storage yard as I only have a pic of where I had first mounted it and forgot to take a new pic of where it is now (above the pintle...

TD, They are basically generics as the boxes they came in where "white boxes" but are much better than what my F-250 has. I'll see if I can find a part number or something on them and will edit this post if I find one but I don't recall seeing one on them. Edit - No numbers or name on the...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

TD, Yes it has a 10" x 12" plate up top and two 2" x 18" angle iron braces underneath. Going to be plenty stout to load 55 gallon drums of fuel &/or water or a wheel/tire assembly as needed. I have one camera mounted up front to the plate that holds the ABS limiter/release valve and the rear...

Mntsnow's recovery and building of The Beast

Patriot, It ran me under 150 shipped. I got the backup camera setup from the large "E"-auction website and got the one with 2 color cameras & the 7" color monitor all items I got are 12/24volt compatible (I have one camera up front and one at the back) and the monitor has two inputs so a...

    923a2 wiring voltage question

They still have pretty good life when hooked up in series so they can work on a 24v system but like mentioned when one fails the other will not work until the failed one is replaced.
