    Newbie from north carolina

Ah, another happy Winslow client! That's the truck with the electric wipers and springer seats. I was really eying that one, but he kept steering me toward the one I eventually brought home. With a fresh paint job it should make a nice unit as well. 8-)

A few hundred bucks, a few hours work and Walla! G177s!

Sure wish there was a surplus of G177s around here! Did you have to change the front axle caster on your truck like many others here have done after going to these tires?

I'm on a pretty dusty road myself. Don't suppose there's a Blue Beacon (or equivalent) in the neighborhood?

    deuce hyd power steering

Is their a hydraulic assist steering available for these trucks? IOW, not a kit like Toms, nor full hydraulic, but a hydraulic version of the Air-O-Matic, if you will?

    "Welded Rears" on a Deuce??

Welded up spider gears= "hillbilly positraction". A VERY popular mod in the demo derby circle. The previous posters in this thread are spot on. What other kinds of redneck engineering has this poor truck had to endure? I shudder at the thought and certainly wouldn't wanna undertake correcting...

    Newbie from north carolina

Welcome to the group from Wake Forest! I'm a new deuce owner myself, but have had an on again/off again desire to own one since I was in Kindergarten. May I suggest giving John Winslow a call? 252-883-2509 I bought my winch truck from him and thus far couldn't be happier with it. He...

M35A2 radiator replaced with aftermarket universal radiator

Go to http://www.streetrodstuff.com/ and they can build you an aluminum radiator to almost any dimension and specification that you want or need. Havig said that, I can certainly appreciate the innovation that Truckoholic put into retrofitting an "off the shelf" unit into his truck. Well done...

going to Coleman's on Tuesday 1/10

Mike, the next time you go up there, can you investigate the s788s that they have advertised on their website? I'd like to know if they still have any and whether or not they look like a piece of Swiss cheese like the ones coming up for sale on this one auction site... Thanks, Don

    Small/Mid-sized camper ideas

The thing that I do not like about the CBC is that it does not appear to be insulated like the S-series shelters are. I still like my 788 on a 103 idea. Anyone see any reason why that would NOT work out OK?

    Small/Mid-sized camper ideas

Not familiar with what that is. Don't suppose you would care to enlighten me?

    Small/Mid-sized camper ideas

Hmmm, I didn't notice that before. Doesen't leave you with much cargo capacity in the 1.5 ton trailer, does it? :-?

    Small/Mid-sized camper ideas

I really like Neils M109 trailer, but I'd like something that takes up less room in the yard. Not only that. I don't feel like doing all the fabricating on the hitch and setting up the brakes, wiring, etc. A 280 or similar on a Bolster trailer or something comparable is certainly not out of...
