I seriously doubt it...
While the Deuces and M809 series 5tons share the same PTO housings (NSN 2520-00-706-1160), their input - or driven gears are different - as well as many other internal parts.
See the comparison, here...
So, thirteen years later.... the correct answer to the OP is NO...
See this thread...
About the extra oiling pockets (or grooves) it's nothing special, really. Just copy the shape of the other ones.
I just add them because I see no reason NOT to have them. Besides that it is a very easy job to do, using a Dremel and a Ø10mm stone.
I think it helps... but I...
Yes, they are... right here on Steel Soldiers!

True, they "shouldn't" be drilled... but those are the factory holes, left there after removing the rivets.
Deuces all have those and so far our frames have been holding up fairly well... At least we haven't heard of any reports of cracks, so far...
Good question... we had this same discussion with Tom, many years ago... It should help to better distribute oil to its backside thrust surface but frankly, I'm not so convinced of this. Instead, I have always added a pair of oiling pockets, there. So far, so good...
I mean, it sure doesn't...
Good info!
These are the two styles in question:
I stand corrected, regarding the valve stems on the evenly spaced 24-bolt wheels... (I'm forgetting things too fast, even after having worked- and posted about it, before...!:-()
The older style 12-bolt wheel has 12ea Ø 5/8" holes in its outer half. Since the studs (on all model wheels) are Ø 1/2" it means that - in theory - both wheel halves could shift as much as 1/8" relative to each other - which will make any tire wobble like crazy!
On the outer half they also have...
Nice, but keep in mind: "perfect is the enemy of good..."
For practical uses, static balancing is all we need for our relatively slow moving trucks. Far from perfect - but good enough for the purpose. It sure does address >90% of the problem and the necessary equipment to achieve this is...
The question is, how much of an unbalance can their Hummer/H1 model actually compensate? Nowhere in their brochures could I find any specifics.
For the records: All the HMMWV 24-bolt wheel & tire assemblies that came out of OKC back in 2013 - literally thousands of BFG-Baja's as well as GY...
TaylortradingCo in NW-GA might have a couple left. Even parts to repair yours - if you don't find anything in your area.

You should be able to replace those turn-buttons individually.

I can attest that Tom is a perfectionist; he wouldn't accept anything less...!
It took several years (and lots of money) to get these gears and parts from "barely satisfactory" to the "very good" category, at least.
