Mine did that last nite, on the first long trip I took it on, 2.6 miles, round trip, it came on once for a few seconds now I know exactly where to check it, thanks troops.
Replace steel with steel and rubber with rubber. I had a volvo years ago that the steel line was cut off and a rubber piece put on, well the rubber split or slid off couldn't tell which after the fire, totaled the car.

I would be interested in the vinyl filler strip in the OD dash if you can remove it in one piece. If not I would be interested in the gray dash.
My dash is good all I really need is the filler strip.
Thanks, mine was shifting at about 30 and 50, new vac lines corrected that. This is a good cheap fix that I will keep in the memory bank just in case this problem reoccures.
My M1008 will spin on gravel without hardly trying and when I had the rear box off I went down a paved road in a residential area and had to barely touch the go pedal otherwise the tires would spin. Its all original.
There are block heaters available at local parts stores, there are several threads on different types, seems that the one that replaces a freeze plug is the most efficient and the one that installs into the radiator hose is an easier install but less efficient.
