I bought an old Farmall H from a buddy that had water in what seemed like every cavity aft of the clutch. Was very alarmed when pure water-then industrial mayonaise-then thick grimy sludge came out of the drain!! Didn't have the time or money at the time(just when IS the time anyway)to tear down...
Hey, what the heck!! Go ahead and buy it and let the teenagers in the family take turns driving it to school or at least the wife drive it to PTA meetings!!
Wow! Whoda thunkit! Great big tank/ little tiny people. I just read a book "World Tanks and Reconnaissance Vehicles Since 1945". Has quotes such as"The Soviets are going to be in trouble(for tank crews)when they run out of strong left-handed midgets (gun loaders T-54/55)---indeed it was remarked...
Thanks for the replies--for what I'm trying to do and what I have to do it with, the weight doesn't seem to be a big problem.I think from what I see here(thanks folks)that if I called it 2000lbs I'd be safe (front end loader capacity/legal combined highway weight).

HEY!!,Whats that 8 wheel APC thingy-go-bob!!??? A109 would be cool but the sled in the #7 photo would be even more better---too bad we cant bid on that!! If the neighbor is upset with the Duece just think of their dispair if the apc showed up in the ol' driveway:-P
Very good story and hope they will end up at a good home.I did get a chuckle though when I saw the bug shield------they must have some dang slow bugs around there!:-P
Chris, go to your local autobody paint and supplies store and get a decal/pinstripe removing tool. It looks like a small ginder wheel you chuck up in your drill BUT it is made of hard rubber. (think powered eraser). I have had okay results on standard "normal" paint but have not tried it on...
Hey Kevin---I talked to the contact guy on the phone--he told me the winch behind the cab is still in cosmoline-looks to have never been used--cool, glad one of us got it. Jim
Oh no! Had you pulled an ok trans and ok clutch just to find NOTHING wrong---now that would have qualified you fer the D.A. of the week Award! (I happen to be a pro at that sort of thing)
(I dunno what happened--It was working right up to when it quit!) Jim
