Very very cool. Agreed on the vertical capstan comment above...unique indeed. Looks like a winch you'd find on a sail boat.
How does the engage mechanism work? Is it a splined shaft of some kind? I see the grease fitting...so something must move to engage the winch drive shaft.
I put a tan top on my (tan) deuce....very nice, clean look.
A word of advise...you need a few people to get it installed. If you try to do it yourself you will get it dirty by touching the ground or the bed, and it shows dirt very well and is not easy to wash it off.

Maybe look into a dual-voltage alternator? Or...look into running a second alternator on the truck (12V) using some custom bracketry and then use that circuit to charge the batteries.

They are a bit pricey...about $400 each. They are super-nice though....you get a lot for that money. Noise cancellation, VOX, voice-prompted settings (no dials or buttons to look at). Very cool.
