Nothing special, just a bobber with air ride.

Mark used 3/8" plate to build mounting brackets for the seats utilizing the factory holes in the floor.

    Greetings from Louisiana

Greetings from Shreveport. Good to see more LA guys on here.

Yes the hitch is a bit high. Realistically Mark doesn't plan on towing an m105. Eventually a 2" receiver hitch will be installed. We will adjust the height accordingly. The only parts that came from a kenworth were the seats. The suspension is freightliner. We used the springs, mounts...

Nothing special, just a bobber with air ride.

We knew someone would comment about the tail gate. We are working on a spare tire carrier for the bed and remounting the tail gate to double swing. There is a list of improvements we are still working on but we decided to get it driveable first. Its frustrating to stare at a truck on blocks...

Ya I don't know why the last 2 rotated. The bags were not fully inflated when I took the pictures. Thank you for the compliments. We both appreciate them. No one has commented on the lightbar....of course it sorta blends into the ceiling of the shop.

Thank you sir. The seats are air ride seats pulled from some kenworth truck. Other than that I don't know what make or model they are. Benton is 15 min north of Bossier City. Which is directly across the river from Shreveport. Mark, who owns this truck, lives about 40 min away from me. I...

Nothing special, just a bobber with air ride.

It rides as good as my chevrolet half ton. When we were first testing the suspension we didn't even have seats installed. We just chunked some 5 gallon buckets in there and hit the wonderfully smooth (sarcasm) Louisiana back roads and hammered it. Wasn't a bad ride at all literally sitting on...

Nothing special, just a bobber with air ride.

Haven't had a chance to test that yet. It has independent springs and air bags so I would imagine as much or more than leaf springs. We have it set up with 2 auto ride height valves. We may in the future modify it to have in cab bag adjustment. Though admittedly where we live there isn't...

Nothing special, just a bobber with air ride.

Well gents, a few of you are aware that me and a buddy have been constructing a bobber over the last 10 months or so. We finally got it together and painted. I will add to this thread as the finishing touches are put in place. Now for a few details on the truck itself. It started life as a...

    Spin on filter options

Its not so much that the fuel burns better. More along the lines of your injectors and IP last a whole lot longer with clean fuel. Water is one of the biggest enemies of the diesel engine. Water is **** on injectors.

ballistic joints for dogbone, torque rod

Actually none of those facts are difficult to overcome. A drill or lathe can solve the problem of the tapered pins. The spring packs align the axles and making a new dogbone is as simple as cutting a chunk of tubing the correct length. All VERY doable. Is it worth it? That depends on who...

    Battery/Starter Problem

Yes. It is called the aero turbine. It used to be its own company but is now being produced by jones exhaust. In fact I got it directly from jones. They don't normally sell directly to an individual but I was having trouble finding it from a distributor. They were all out of stock. I email...

    Battery/Starter Problem

Yep. Before next week is over I'll have her rolling on 395 xzl's. Then I'll be installing an aero turbine muffler and see how that works out. O hey be sure to inspect your wiring harness and battery cables. Sounds like they got w bit hot.

    Battery/Starter Problem

I believe you are correct on the wiring. Sorry to hear that your having trouble. I hate chasing electrical gremlins. While your at it send some rain down here! I'm putting the finishing touches on my hub flip and its over 100. Fun times.

    Battery/Starter Problem

Sounds like either your starter push button has shorted out or the solenoid has hung up. Start by pulling the starter push button and checking continuity through it without pushing the button. There shouldn't be any until you push it. Same thing with the solenoid. There shouldn't be power...

m35a3 split rim o-ring issue / wrong part?

While you have your wheels apart clean up the rust in the groove and paint it. This will help with sealing and future rust. Had my wheels powder coated cause they were starting to get a little rough looking on the inside. Hopefully no more rust for me...ever.

This is genius. You may have just solved my dilemma on how to get my bed off for paint and body work.
