    It's a private indivdual who loves WWII Jeeps and enjoys restoring them. He is in Hopewell Junction NY. You could head down 9 our of Rheinbeck and pick up I84 before the Newburgh Beacon Bridge. It wouldnt be out of your way at all, if this all pans out. It's in Carnac's hands now.

    I think it all depends. If you want to play the GL game, thats the way to go for a cheap treailer. If you want a buy it as is right now, no GL games/stolen parts/EUC wait, go with a private sale. Both have their advanatges and disadvantages.

    Is it worthwhile to have a spare regulator as a backup for the 60 amp alternator

    I will post it tomorrow. It had a big squareish regulator on it, and no I'm not talking about the dual voltage ones either.

    The old 100 amp HMMWV genny uses the same cables, pulleys, ect as the 60 ampers.

    Why dont you upgrade to a 100 amp genny? Same mount, same wiring, but 40 more amps.

    Also, what sort of vehicle/trailer do you have? The Jeep runs/starts/stops/steers as it should, there will not be any problems loading/unloading it.
