Wow... glad that I jumped on it. Father and I are thinking about just putting it on display but would be nice to give the 53' a new heart too...Will see. I'll take pictures either way and post them next week. Thanks everyone!
I have two still in packaging if you are interested. Can take a picture of the one that I've opened and the others that are in packaging still. Let me know.
503m715-Glad you made it up there. I'll probably be up there in a week or so too. Dont forget to call me. BTW for those of you interested in a tow bar. I have three complete set ups and I'm going to be taking best offer for them so let me know.
Dont think he really has much left. Just about a month ago or so we were up there and he had gotten rid of 40tons of scrap. But the catch was that is was 40tons of scrap all consisting of cut up trucks :-/ I will let you all know...
Well after all said and done I got it for little over 2000.00. Little more than wanted but then again I dont have to pay for any shipping since it's near me so guess I'm saving there. Would hate to see freight cost on an engine with fuel prices as they are in Washington State. Figure if...
Just got off the phone with the guy and all he has left are the bars but no ends. Does have some m151 adapters left though. If anyone wants bars, I'm going to be buying hopefully all of his and then I also make the adapters so let me know. Thanks.
The only reason why it's got missing bolts and not sealed anymore is because he took them out to show me the actual engine. Everything looks great and still in paper and cosmaline packaging. Here is another picture.... let me know again :-) Thank You for all info so far though...
Any pictures from the top, ie standing in the back of the bed and looking down onto it? Also does anyone know the correct height to place the ring from the back of the passenger seat or where is best to measure from? And is that a replica m60? Where from? Looks great either way!
RE: seized motor and some Q
Its a diesel and when I use the starter all it does is click. But i have the volts...I'm sure starter is clicking because can't do anything with it being seized. I'll try some more thanks guys. Any more info is always wanted :-)
either I am turning the wrong bolt on front of engine to manually turn motor over or wrong direction please let me know which way is correct but regardless either way i turn it i get nothing out of the motor turning freely. So I'm assuming that my motor is seized beings that the previous owner...
RE: ring mount Q
ya thats a good idea...I'm just scared that whatever I use will either corrode the bearings and inside slider mechanisms or will end up with a bunch of grit in there and not operate very smoothly...
Who has re serviced their ring and stripped old paint for new paint. I'm thinking that sand blasting it, probably wouldn't be good for it but not sure. I've already done all the legs and other parts now just onto the ring itself. Please fill me in. Thanks
Very true indeed. Thats what I did but I haven't found anyone who needs/wants them yet. So let me know if you hear anything about people wanting them or yourself and good luck with the others if you decided to get them...
