When I think bobbed Hemtt. First thing that pops into my had is a MK48 LVS tractor. I spent 20 minutes tring to find a pictue of a real one with out a trailer attached, so I had to settle on a pretty detailed model.
Yeh the book I read about in said it was a prototype. But if someone were to bob a M939 series, I'd wager it would look very simular to that truck. Hense the picture to give people an idea about it.
And Greenjeepster. I dunno if you could call a MK48 Tractor a bobbed hemtt, but in my mind...
Ive seen picture of a M900 as a 4x4 strait from the factory. I have them in a book, lemme see if i can find some online.
Edit - Found it, Its an M900A2 and heres a link to a larger picture if yall want http://www.m201.de/armytrucks/5-ton-new/m900a2/index.html
I'll have to see if I can get that friday/sat night off. If I cant get friday off, I'll have to do the same thing as the mini rally. Just drive up after I get of work.
If thats Glamis(which I think it is). When I was there in 2002 for Thanksgiving. Dominos Pizza was there with about 10 M35A2s and M109s with pizza ovens driving all over the dunes. Middle of the desert, you could order a pizza, and it would be delivered. I cant remember any of them getting...
Having put well over 500 miles on my truck in the sand, I feel I can chime in on this one.
First of all. The stock NDTs are perfectly fine in the sand if you arent trying to climb steep hills. Once the grade gets to be more then about 12% they tend to dig instead of pull the truck. Most...
The diesel around here is green/yellow. Heating oil is red. Dunno about Farm diesel though.
As for gasoline, never payed much attention, cept to my brothers race gas, that stuff is blue.
Once again I'm endebited to Ed and Aaron. They saved my ass again... Remind me never to try a turbo swap when suffering from sleep deprivation, or in general again.
But the good news is, The C turbo is in and man it sounds lovely.(side note. It stopped smoking so badly). It was fun. Met lots...
Stan you can always drive down a civy car.
Also i got a set of magnetic lights with a 20ft cord, so i can set them in his bed with the tailgate down.
But, well see how it goes. Like I told stalwart, If we have to head back down in the morning with a towbar to grab it, I will.
Ouch. You okay Aaron? I fell of my truck once while out in the sand and that hurt. Even hoping out of the back of my truck from the step on the bed, hurts my knees.
Hrm, Anyone got a mig welder on the way up, i the front half of a m105, i could weld some 4in by 3/8ths channel into, and just drill some holes for the pins =0. You could always call Brad and see if he would rent you one =0
If your truck isnt to far of the main route, it would be a good idea (at least in my opinion) to stay together. Just incase of any unforceen mechanical failure.
