Here is another one, LAPES gone wrong and goat flipped over. I have seen this type of accident live, LAPES was a pretty hairy way to get equipment in. If you are not familiar with it google it and you will see what I mean.
I got the trusses, or most of a set with this truck but no braces. Are their any out there anywhere? I plan on carrying a spare but it would make a neat demonstration at shows and stuff, anyone here ever try them out? If so how did that go? Guess it would be like driving a really long truck with...
A few more pics, got a big wiring mess to sort out, shift linkage on t-case is hinky and clutch linkage is missin something, spring I think. Missing some exhaust too:cookoo:
Wound up with 4 extra tires, two of which are good, that gives me a full set plus 1 , still might be interested in a couple of yours when you get them.
Sounds good, well looks like motor is stuck,:-| and one of the head bolts was taken out for some reason? Maybe the previous owner was gonna pull the head for some unknown reason, I have used diesel down the cylinders before to unstick a motor, I am sure there are many different ways.
Sorry Mark , got it home Thursday evening with no troubles. Joe had it loaded on the trailer when I got there, we threw on the exta goodies and I was off. I stopped a couple of times to check my tie downs but all was good all the way home, long day of driving and of corse the next day at work...
I have agreed to buy Warthogs Goat, will pick it up Thursday. Meanwhile I found a parts Goat close to me that I can get super cheap but it's gonna be a difficult recovery for sure. More to follow when I get my Goat home from Okie City. Here are a couple of pics of the parts truck,
