thats what i need to do is start using filtered WMO..... i have been using straight diesel with additives the whole time. the idea i have is way too small of an operation to filter the WMO, so maybe before i build it, ill use at least a half inch line to the filter, then to a storage tank so...
looks mean!! i have no experience with bigger tires on the deuces and 5 tons...but they sure do look good! hope you dont experience brake fade...i did once (not with the deuce)and its wierd!
i have issues with my governer where if the truck is facing down hill it will idle faster and if it is facing up hill, it will idle slower...the difference is maybe 300 or 400 rpm from up hill and down hill. the only thing i can figure is that the cab is moving back a little and pullin the...
i've been driving mine quite a bit....drove it to work a lot, but lately its been so nice i have been taking the bike because its cheaper. I got my deuce mid april this year and so far i have put a little over 2500 miles on it. i dont plan on driving it in the winter though unless i really need...
I looked in my fuel tank the other day through the fill hole and saw that plate that looks like the number 9. what does that "number 9 looking" plate even do? it looks like a design of a centrifugal pump looking part, but the pickup is on the bottom. when i bought my deuce, it looks like the...
Do it up Sarge! As long as the relationship is give and take to her intrest and yours, and shes a good girl, i say yea! Its hard finding the right girl, im still on the search. im not mr. wonderful but i do treat women very nicely... maybe too nice. anyway, getting back to talking about MVs...
i dont know guys, im kinda liking it a little. i respect how you guys feel about it, but i always thought it would be neat to make a street rod out of an old MV and keep it OD Green. it's a rat rod thing. My dad and i have built a couple rods from the ground up and it seems like it would be...
looks nice...what i would give to have a 5 ton with a turbo and jakes.... after its done you have to post a video of it and make sure you get some jake brake action!:grd:
The starter drive in my deuce needed a starter drive since i got it. once and a while it would grind, so i had it rebuilt and everything looks good. My question is, how can i rotate the engine without the starter to inspect the ring gear? I know i could put it in gear and slowly crank the...
I put a pool in the back of my deuce last weekend for the syracuse nationals. do a search for "syracuse nationals" and it will come up :-D i had 17 inches of water in the back and cruzing around the show. next year im thinking i need a water slide [thumbzup]
The GL-1 helped my transmission on my deuce shift a lot better, than GL-5. I researched it a lot and GL-5 is made for higher pressures like in hypoid diffs. I put GL-5 in my axles, but GL-1 in my t-case and trans because it is made for synchros. they shift great now!
Here are some more pictures of our pool and show. It was such a great time! It was great meeting Doghead, Doghead's Wife and D8Dave!! Great people! Ill have to take a little road trip up sometime and see what toys ya'll have. Thanks again Dave for letting me test drive your USMC M817, its...
The only buzzer on a deuce is the low air buzzer. after the truck starts it may take a little while for the buzzer to turn off, mine us usally about 2 minutes or so at 1000rpm. check the rear glad hands....i found air leaks there on mine before. i will be switching them to ball valves soon.
I vote any connection that gets hot, the problem is there (or one of the problems). No connection should get red hot. If that does not fix the problem, then i would go to the starter and or relay. I like starting off with the simple things, one at a time. I had a friend that had a cavilier and...
I agree, i seems like somebody would have a rear PTO similar to a tractor that they could hook up a PTO generator. I agree it would not be the most efficient, but it sure would be neat! [thumbzup]
