I have never seen that style as clearance light on the roof, but i have seen those once as marker lights on the sides of a box. Did they ever use those on a Deuce? Was there a special harness that the military used for those lights?

i split shifted mine one day and it ground a little on the t case. i never ever try to force the t case lever, so i dont break anything or force it. Also, i just changed the transmission and t case to GL-1, so maybe that will help. not sure what was in it before. what wear parts are there when...

If it clicks everytime you push the button, id either say a bad connection on the starter relay or a dead spot on the starter. if this is the case, check the cables going to the starter. mine acted funny and turned out that the studs on the relay were lose and i tightened them back up...so far...

did you use the 10 micron or 6 micron filters? i just changed the secondary ones in mine the other day and used the 6. I talked to a good friend of mine who is a pro with diesels and went to a diesel school and he said he was nervous about having a 6 micron thinking it may be too constrictive...
