    Turn Signal Switch Fix

I FIXED IT! I tried looking at some wiring diagrams of the turn signals on SS here, but the computer at home is not as good as the one at work, so it didnt help. I used a jumper wire cliped on the battery positive post and the other end was cliped to a scribe/probe. Then i un pluged the...

    Turn Signal Switch Fix

All the bulb functions work fine on the whole truck with the exception of the left rear turn signal/brake light. I tried 2 bulbs, both i tested good with an ohm meter do not work, also used a 24v test light that was tested good with 24v. I should test them with 24v, and see what happens just...

    Waste oil Filtration system

I have a smaller 5 micron and base i bought from surplus center about a year ago. i was thinking of an idea like yours but have about a 5 gallon bucket with a hole drilled in the side (to act as a water seperator and let more crap rest on the bottom) where a hose would go to the 5 micron...

What is the best engine to have in a 76 deuce?

I have a chance to get a 6.7 cummins mated to a 6 speed allison for not a lot of money. allthough i would rather have a manual over an automatic, i wonder what transmission i would use. i believe it is tunable between 200 and 400 horse. Im not sure on what manual transmission i would use though...

Clearance lights and fender turn signal indicators

I have never seen that style as clearance light on the roof, but i have seen those once as marker lights on the sides of a box. Did they ever use those on a Deuce? Was there a special harness that the military used for those lights?

    Memorial Day fun...with a M35

I like the tarp idea! I have seen it before and want to do that sometime this year. how deep was the water? I was thinking about bolting a 2x8 board to the steps on the tailgate so it makes the edge a little taller to hold more water. Ill have to crunch the numbers and see how much all that...

    Driving ?

Driving the deuce isnt bad at all. you definately have a lot going on sometimes, shifting, canceling your own turnsignals, looking to see if you're going to hit the curb while you're turning.....like another member on here said, half the fun of driving the deuce is that you actually have to...

Stranded at Subway - Deuce won't start

If it clicks everytime you push the button, id either say a bad connection on the starter relay or a dead spot on the starter. if this is the case, check the cables going to the starter. mine acted funny and turned out that the studs on the relay were lose and i tightened them back up...so far...

switching old air pack to new, what about the plug for lights?

Is it a 1/8" pipe plug? I have the short style airpack also and I have a hydraulic style brake light switch that screws in there. Also i think the old style airpacks had a plug where you could lubricate the airpack with airtool oil. If you search for brake light switch or airpack, something more...

    fuel filter question

did you use the 10 micron or 6 micron filters? i just changed the secondary ones in mine the other day and used the 6. I talked to a good friend of mine who is a pro with diesels and went to a diesel school and he said he was nervous about having a 6 micron thinking it may be too constrictive...

    M35 emergency brake?

Is the parking brake cable still tight that is pulling on the lever? if you released the parking brake lever in the cab and it is still tight on the parking break mechanism, i would say the cable is stuck/rusted. try spraying blaster or dripping oil down the cable so it works its way inside the...

    Truck Rebuild tag?

Does anybody know what this tag means? It is located on the top of the front winch plate. Does it mean the truck was rebuilt or the winch? The truck is in good shape and has a lot of new parts on it. The engine is the LD-465-1 with turbo. i beleive a date is cast on the block that says its a...
