Sounds like your ground from the buss bar to the engine is bad, try clamping a jumper cable from the engine to the negative batt terminal! If that works u have a ground issue, I always run a extra ground cable from the negative terminal to a bolt on the engine by the alternator.
Busy afternoon, Finished the peel and stick roof on the floor of the m1008 for sound control, Installed black carpet, black seat belts, repainted the dash cover, and mounted the hummer wheels and tires on back!!!

I saw it on the news here in chicago! 10 million to move a rock!!! These people are nuts we have kids starving in america and some goof spends 10 mil to move a rock!!!
Always use new bolts! Use arp head bolts and felpro gaskets! Have heads rechecked and block! U might have a cracked block! I would junk the motor and get a surplus 6.2 hummer motor and be done with it!
If your head gasket was done twice your head is probably warped and causing it not to seal proper and blow, Headgaskets should last 150,000 miles!!!! Were the heads machined and the block checked when u did the gaskets???
I love some of these mechanics if they dont know diesel they just say its junk and throw a 350 in it! Sounds like a fuel supply issue or your ip pump needs a rebuild! How many miles on the ip???
