    I assume when the winch clutch is in, all operation is from inside the cab, I will put on the winch next saturday and play with the controls with no load to start with, hope to have it for haspin.

    After taking apart my winch I found the brake drum assembly was a mess, need the cast wheel, band, and bolt assembly, anybody have any?

    Thanks all, took apart my winch today and cleaned up as much grease as possible, think I will add oil now so it can mix, any thoughts on this?

    Clean looking, looks and feels just like the wheel bearing grease in my hubs.

    Why would the military put this heavy grease in and so you all know, this winch came off a katrina flood truck so maybe the thick grease was better.

    Took off my winch of a parts deuce today and pulled the plugs, it is full of what looks like wheel bearing grease, anybody seen this before?
