In all honesty I would have the hauled that far. Until you have a truck in hand there are lots of unkopwns, especially if you have not inspeted it prior to bidding. "Runs" could mean idles with a bed head gasket and no brakes.
There are several truckers on here who can give you very reasonable...
Yep, and I have a strong feeling it is shipped at taxpayer expense.
Some Congressman needs to take a sharp look at how the taxpayers are paying the bill so GL can consolidate and have lower costs on their end.
Cool. I got the other one just for the MICLIC on it to restore, and could really use both MICLIC's but don't need both trailers.
Those M200A1's are wrong for the MICLIC, they do go on M200A1's but without the beds.
Made it to Bragg to pick up my M200A1 and the MICLIC mounted on it, as well as some tool boxes for Carnac.
Very uneventful trip back 360 miles.
Also snapped some pictures of an M1025 HMMWV that had a parachute accident.
Lots of NA 6.5's out there in HMMWV's. AM General makes brand news ones right now for the rebuild programs.
The sure way to tell is block casting numbers-these are 6.5's:
10149599 (92-93 blocks.could be 6.2 or 6.5),
12552929,
10237141,
12555506
A 506 cast by Navistar is the best, it will have...
A good machine shop can fix that block, but it would have to come out. Since used running 6.2's are so cheap anyway I would just replace it while it was out.
You got those general mechanics tool sets?
I will be there tomorrow picking up a trailer with a goodie on it. I am not right along 85 but am not too far off on I-26, and a whole lot closer to Atlanta than Bragg is.
Just let me know today, I set out for Bragg at O-dark_thirty tomorrow.
I also...
The generator is the MEP-016 series 3KW. The reason the government made a retrofit for some into MEP-016D diesels is that no other 3kw genset would fit in the pioneer trailers.
I wouldn't say "bad" so much as "not as good" as the old stuff. But not as bad as JP8.
Whenever I fill up with ULSD in my 6.2's or 6.5's they get a mix of power service lubricity enhancer and 2cycle oil added.
That said, lately I have been buying b20 biodiesel blend, and one great advantage...
I have one still brand new in the crate, but it sat outside forever so the canavs is questionable. I haven't decieded if I am going to use it or sell it.
If I use it my canavs supplier also can supply me custom heavy duty vinyl tarps like are used the the trucking industry that should be...
It is a blade that replaces the normal blade on a bulldozer to use it for clearing trees and brush. It is an open frame that allows dirt and small things to pass, but rips up small trees and brush.
Great for clearing fields of fire or roadsides in the jungle.
They got the name because they...
I have seen pictures of them on Cat D7's, probably D7D's or D7E's, and D5's of the same vintage. To get any serious work done you would need it on the D7. When I first got in the USAR back in 92 we had one that we could use with our D7G's, I have no idea how old it was but it was old and "off...
Don't add motor oil or transmission fluid. Both are not designed to burn and can leave deposits on the combustion chamber and injectors, and the friction modifiers in ATF can actually be worse for the IP in some cases. All sorts of trace metals and materials are added to both that do not burn...
