Maybe you should install a pryo and check your EGT's. Check the data plate on the engine, could have a LDS motor in it. Dennis

After putting up with a sticky cable for a year, I put on a new cable. Got the cable from saturn surplus, forget how much. I cheated and rasied the bed to replace the cable. My tool rack is removed also, I would recommend removing the tool rack for access. I have the newer style e-brake...

That's a good price. Already have the napa one. I used a 10 foot breaker bar, and stood on that. Snapped a 3/4 extension. At least the nut came off. Dennis

I just found my camera, so here are a couple of pics from the Armed Forces day at Findlay, OH. Guy wanted 12,000 for the deuce tractor, trailer, and cannon in back. The tan deuce is running 11-20's on stock rims, and hubs are not flipped. Had 2 Seeps, the amphibious jeeps, there. Very neat...

How about useing the M135 rims, as the outer wheel on the back axle, without flipping the hubs? Would be the same thing YoungBill's truck, just using M135 rims. Should move the tire closer to the center of the bearings, and wouldn't narrow the rear track as much as flipping the hubs. Dennis

Is your IP pump turned up any? Sounds like the truck ran good for you. Dennis

I went to my spicer dealer for some parts on my tranny. they couldn't find the overdrive tranny, just the 3052 gasser.

I am watching a couple of them. Condition is listed as non-running, repairable? Saw the one was missing the IP. What kind of prices do these go for? Can they load them? I may be able to inspect them, about 1 1/2 hour drive. May even be able to store a couple at my place, but would cost ya...

Maybe the engine isn't hot enough, or loaded enough, to get a complete burn. What ever unburned fuel is left gets pushed out the exhaust. A long drive gets everything hot and cleaned out. Personally, my deuce loves to be run at hwy speeds. After 20 miles or so, the engine really perks up...
