first off be sure to add your location to your sig line. on the brake issue, my XM818 had the same issue when i bought it.matter of fact the prev owners made sure they showed me where they left the wrench to bleed of a little fluid when it locked up. turned out to be the glad hand cover on the...
I dont want to cook my 250 either. i just needed to make it possible to pull a decent load. i dont over rev or let the exhaust temp get high. but if it does cook that will give me the incentive to plop in the 335 (with jakes) with the 13 double over trans that i have been tripping over. then...
VERY strange! when i got mad and replaced the whole hub i used the same outer seal i had been using. ??? i have not had time yet to check my theory of the race being the problem on mine. i will however check my stock of seals for you and let you know what i find.
Diff oil level is fine. the oil does not get to the hubs unless the outer seal goes south. i know this is weird but thats how they are designed. when time permits i will find a oil seal that will work and switch. also need to look into the diff level plug for this modification as it looks like...
you may also want to invest in a back belt. :!: after doing all the hubs on the M819 and 2 on the M131A4 my back was not likeing me for a day or so. don't know what they weigh but defiantly HEAVY!
I have never used a military wrecker until i bought one. I have used civi units tho. common sense goes a long way. and yes i have a CDL as i drive for a living.
wiffle tree is the part that hangs on the hook of the hoist cable off the back of the wrecker. it attaches to the towed unit by means of the lifting shackles when lift towing.
I got mine from the bama state. Teds. with pins. then i changed a bunch of things and really did'nt need the tree for lift towing but wont sell it just in case.
Well like i said, i like to keep the little 250 in the XM818 1200 or below on the pyro. one of the reasons i asked about the temp without a turbo is we always had to add a little to the reading on the pyro if the probe was mounted after the turbo. this was done so if the probe burnt off it would...
Will. 1400 degrees ? is this because there is not a turbo to cook? i did not realize that we could run them this hot. i have been keeping mine down to 1200. probably out of old habit.
Hmmmmm--- i think i just found my next fire truck! How about it Lane? ready for another rescue mission? wonder if they float. thanks for sharing the photos! its a good thing i dont live close to there.
if you dont want to lose to much coolant you should drain the system down at least below the water pump level before loosening the bolts around the pump. then after loosening the bolts just rotate it like papercu said. it is made off center so as you rotate it the pulley moves closer or further...
