    Suspect M135 vacume advance problem

Could also be bad ( worn out ) distributor bushings which would cause the point gap ( dwell ) to be erratic.

    Remote reservoir part search.

I mounted my reservoir on the firewall also. I also have a heater unit under the hood and was able to mount it where it would not interfere with the ducting ( which has yet to be reinstalled)

Huh According to M-37 Series Production Story (TM9-1840C) M-42's were factory delivered with about 8079 delivered by the end of production of the M-37s (1954), there is nothing listed for later B1 series ( 1958-68 ). Injector Gasket Cross Reference Part Number?

"page 5-187 states "Tighten 12 screws to 150- to 175 pound-feet". This is a misprint, its suppose to read 150-175 "inch/lbs" which comes out to between 12-15 ft/lbs. I went to my local Diesel injection shop for the crush washers, guy took them right out of the bin and gave them to me free!
