    Fuel milage w 465-1d M35A2 W/W

RE: Re: RE: Fuel milage w 465-1d M35A2 W/W I have an 06 F350 dually crew-cab (6.0 PSD) with the tow-boss gears (4.30:1) and stock 245/75-17 tires. I get about 16.5mpg at 65, and over 18 at 55mph (about 12 in town). Gets about 9.5 mpg towing my 30 foot toy hauler loaded (about 12K). Never had...

    Fuel milage w 465-1d M35A2 W/W

I'm getting about the same in my deuce...this is with an LDS-465-A motor (5-ton). The motor is fresh (some 500 miles on it) and the truck is still running stock 9.00x20 NDCC tires. I wonder what the milage will be when I get the 14.50s mounted...

The Overall Fun Factor: M35A2 Deuce vs. M818 Tractor

Maybe Enjoyable to "Drive" and "Play" are two different things. Deuce does not have power steering (well, some may have air-o-matic refits installed). In town they are a bear (yeah, yeah, 70psi in the front tires helps). However, they are smaller (relatively) and easier to maneuver...

    Berg Tire Ebay

I just bought a set of 14.50R20 Michelin XLs from them. Quick, easy, had the tires (to Oregon) in less than a week. $150 each (+s&h). Great company...highly recommended.

    hi

There's a few over there that aren't on the map...I know that much. One near Milton Keynes that I know of for sure (we've chatted before). Where abouts in Gloucestershire are you located? With fuel prices being what they are today, I would take that into consideration when making the...

    hi

Al, There's a few Brits online here. Check out the locater map: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/index.php?name=GoogleMap Good luck with getting that truck. It would help us to identify it if you could get a few more pics of the dataplates on the dash, and maybe a few shots from under the hood...

    Bearing Question

Gear oil is not heavy enough for the bearings in the rockwell axles. They need to be greased and kept greased. See the following PS mag articles http://www.steelsoldiers.com/index.php?set_albumName=album11&id=ps264_p38_39_breather_valves&name=gallery&include=view_photo.php (bottom of page 39)...

Late Model USAF Contract M35A2C Spotters Guide

Wow! Great post! Just a few differences for mine (1988 M35A2C) that I thought I would throw in: small horn button No front pintle hitch No vinyl seats No evaporator (could have gone when new engine was swapped in) Plastic battery box NATO slave cable (clearly installed after delivery) I think...

Look how clean this 1999 M35a3 is on GL

RE: Re: RE: Look how clean this 1999 M35a3 is on GL It looks like there is only one "M35A3" on GL right now. Easy to find...

    Can't get my m35 over 35 MPH

RE: Can Before chasing ghosts, I would do a full tune-up on it. It's much better to debug engine problems when you have known good parts. Also make sure you have good fuel in the tank (never trust the old stuff). Hook up a vacuum gauge that you can use while driving (plumb it into the intake...

    "Air Force" M35A2 trucks

Pretty much if it's an '88, it should be USAF (most likely). Note also that the bus parked next to it is painted USAF blue, so that's another good sign that it came from an AF base (assuming they all came in to the DRMO lot at the same time). I haven't seen flappers on anything other than USAF...

    1988 m35a2c

Here's the flightline sticker (I had a spare): If you look at the pics that Kenny posted of that 87, you can just see said sticker below the blue warranty plate. I'm trying to secure a stack of these from some contacts I have at a local base that is closing...if I can get them I will make them...
