Did you check the relay under the dash! Do the doghead conversion!

No they're good trucks once you get the gremlins out, Easy to work on plenty of help on here to help you!!! Lots of guys on here who will come over for pizza and beer and help you fix it up!!!:razz:

Its a 25 year old truck ive owned 5 of them every one has been a money pit? When you get one plan on spending a grand changing batteries, alt,starter,belts,hoses,fluids, seals etc,etc,etc..............2cents

Took the valve body apart cleaned it, new filter and fluid. Replaced vacuum pump problem solved!!!!

I was welding some gas lines when the apprentice grabbed a brass nipple insted of black pipe! Well when welding brass it gives of a toxic gas that was fun to breath in!! But the heads up on the brake cleaner is good info considering i use it always to clean old pumps etc!!!

Do you think it was partially under water? Looks like a buddy of mines truck which was in a flood then dried out same rust areas on seat frame etc!! Just a thought i hope it wasnt but you never know!!!

It never misses second it never shifts out of first but if I manually shift to second it stays in first but when shifted to drive it goes in drive I pulled the pan checked detent valve it operates! This is starting to piss me off!

Update.... Disconnected detent plug on trans no difference wont up shift, if i manually **** it goes from 1st to third no 2nd just stays in 1st untill i go to 3rd??? Trans fluid is not burnt any one got any suggestions ?????aua

Doesnt a m1010 have only one 24 volt alt? How does that work?

Chief any way to rewire so both batts charge correctly!

Im interested to see of that would work on a cucv putting ac would be easier with one alt!
