All vehicles I have purchased from GL have been in my state of residence. There has been 2 reasons I do this, first is the tax issue, and second is I can recover with out $2-3k in shipping. I am aware not everyone has this option but if you do you may want to bid accordingly.
I have read several different post talking about a 20% mix of new oils or a waste oil filtered to 1 micron, but never more than 20%. I have and old quart of 40wt motor oil I am going to dump in mine just to help lube the pump.
I believe there is a lock out to prevent reverse in low range. Mine will not go into reverse in low either and it is a '84 m923(A0) also. I do think it is a safety feature that can be bypassed.
Which FASS part # did you use?(ie flow rate) I have now become interested where FASS say 2-3 mpg increase on empty truck and your statements about performance increases.
You may be able to offer a custom slide in unit for those already owning M923/925 and M927/928. Do you have any artist concepts to show features/sizes?
It is supposed to let air out. It dumps the air off of the spring brakes into the intake stack and can be a little noisy. Mine sounds like the trick has got gas and is relieving itself. My friend calls it the fart monster.
The speed sensor has nothing to do with the trans shifting. It is for the CTIS and over speed indicator if equipped. Chances are very high that the trans is bad, but the wreckers have a tendency to have bad trannys. I have seen several bought from GL and have bad trannys in them. It seems to...
Hey Mike. I didn't know you were special. LOL Last Saturday I got most of the winch Hydraulics installed. Still have to do PTO, tank and controls. All in due time.
My rear plate is mounted on the metal part of the drivers side mud flap with washers used to spacer it out to the ribs and the front is on the pass side of the bumper. You cane see the darker colored area in the pic.
