Robyn:
Glad to see you on board I hope that all of us can continue to get great deals out of Military Sales with GL being the broker. I was really shocked the other day when we got those emails about changing a DML code from A to D what a...
Bjorn and David's Thanks that answers my question exactly I will fab up something out of sheetmetal duct work if I can not find the right parts. The reason I had to ask was I serched for a couple hours in my manuals and could not find what you posted.
Thanks again and God bless
Can you tell me where the heater output is supposed to go? I see the output is is supposed to go where the other circle is? if not is there a manifold under the dash that routes the heated air to the winshields or floor?
Thanks looking at a 1,000+ mile drive in March in this truck and the...
RE: Resonator on M35A2
Is part of the moderation of noise due to the stack being higher? I would not mind putting a larger one on if it did not restrict flow and quieted the truck down. My M52 is really quiet sure it is a gasser but the exhaust flows under the truck and there is a big muffler...
RE: Re: RE: auxiliary fuel tank
What about a large square stainless steel one that fits the entire cargo bed? I bet you could add 40 gallons only loosing about 8-10 inches of space and it would keep the center of gravity down as well.
Ken:
Nice stuck photos, I have a tendency to go for it a few times more than I should so I look for winches on all my trucks. This one in the Jesey Pines was with a great group of Steel Soldiers from the East Coast and Nick pulled me out easily with his duece.
Very nice:
Thanks for posting them I was wondering if any Steel Soldiers got any of the HETs. One of my scariest adventures was when we were pulling out to head into Iraq back in 1990 and I had to drive a 6K RTFL up the back of one of those I about soiled my chocolote chip trowsers getting it...
Really the invertor to mount
Here is the way I get 120V AC it is mounted under passenger seat it produces 2,000 watts of clean AC and charges the batteries when hooked into an AC cord at the house or campground.
David that is what I was thinking the lines being different as I recall most commercial units are electrially operated for at least 30 years now. Been that long or longer since I was a full fledged truck mechanic. I was thinking that the three way valve could be changed to work like one of...
I am looking at a frozen three way valve on mine and wondered if any of you have a standard commercial replacement that would plumb in and work better. I need to make a 1,000 + mile trip and doing it on one tank means stopping before the bladder is calling.
Woo Hoo this is the best, I bought my first square battery from someone there over six years ago I wish I had met the Steel Soldiers then it would have been a longer fine ride. I will snail mail a money order as soon as I get the address to mail it to.
I like the old hubs I have on the old CJ out back you pull out a small bar turn it 90 degrees and lock it back down. I will have to shoot some pictures of them when I go home on leave in March. I did not recall the CUCV hubs being plastic but then I have never had a problem with any of them...
RE: Re: RE: What is this stuff??
Still this is a perfect set up for an experimental hybrid. If I was not still on active duty I would be interested in using this engine to build one.
