Re: RE: Headed to Morocco
Morocco is a major recipient of the foreign military sales program. Google Morocco Foreign Military Sales and you will find a long list of stuff sent to them.
2" spacers is what I have used on two different M1008s. They work great. Are they safe? Not as safe as not having spacers. I paid about $120 per pair. Make sure you order the right ones.
That Mazda is the heaviest thing I have loaded on the flatbed. rofl I believe the max payload (higway) is 20,000#. The self-loading limit is 10,000# IIRC, probably due to the winch. I think the dump cylinders would handle much more. Also, the bridge trucks can handle more weight than a...
What quote did you get?
There isn't anything too special about the beds, except of course that they were designed to work with the truck and do the job! I don't have underside pics or dimensions but could try to get you whatever your need. Basically the frame runners on the edge of...
Those aluminum pallets have gotten hard to find. I have seen them for $5000, almost as much as the trucks, but a bridge truck has limited use without it. Here is a pic of mine.
Yes, they are wider and work well with the 14x20 tires. However, they will only work on the bridge trucks (unless you adapt your axles with parts from the bridge trucks).
RE: Re: RE: Mileage going up on towed deuces?
I towed a truck home once that had 1 hour and 12 miles on it. When I got it home, I was surprised the mileage was now 186. Still only 1 hour though!
If you are running duals in the back, I would keep it stock all the way around. I can't imagine you would have any problems with a 16R20 vs a 14R20 on the stock bridge truck wheels.
Re: thanks
2" wider. Yes they will fit. You shouldn't have any problem with the rims or spacing between them. The bridge truck also greater spacing between the axles so you have move room there too. Go for it!
