Talked to Ron. He is in LaSalle, IL. 289 miles to my brothers place. He is stopped for the night. Truck is running good minor clutch slippage from oil.[thumbzup]
38 degrees is warm.[thumbzup] Ron is right at 500 miles so far. He figures he'll go to around 1800 CST. That should easily put him at around 700 miles today.
Just talked to Ron. He is just about to cross into KY. Truck is running good, but is leaking a little oil from rear main (wouldn't you know I donated my new rear main seal to CARNAC's truck). Anyway, he is adding oil and pressing on. More to follow.:driver:
The M1010 seats/brackets are semi-close to bolt in. You will have to drill one hole in the floor for each seat and one of the 4 mounting points for each seat will have to be made/modified.
Well, we paid $2,450 for our rust free M37B1. It also has the hard top, winch, heater, hwy gears and detroit locker in the back. The troop seats weren't installed though (and they are a bear to find).
Well It looks like we are at change #42 at least. Anyone along the route? Looking at Hwy 24 in Chatanooga, then #57, to #74, to #55, to #39, and finishes at #90 into La Crosse. Ron (73M819) is going to go prolly May 1st, several days before us. We will bring up the rear and be bringing parts...
I also have mil-spec pins, however, I also do have a set of grade 8 bolts (7/8") with bushings. Alot of the old gassers have the 15/16 holes that a mil-spec pin won't fit through. I wonder did they origionally have 15/16" feet????
