Larry, you can't get frost bite when it's 38 degrees. We'll be staged and ready at 0900.:grd:

Talked to Ron. He is in LaSalle, IL. 289 miles to my brothers place. He is stopped for the night. Truck is running good minor clutch slippage from oil.[thumbzup]

    Ga TOOOOOOOOOO WI

38 degrees is warm.[thumbzup] Ron is right at 500 miles so far. He figures he'll go to around 1800 CST. That should easily put him at around 700 miles today.

    Ga TOOOOOOOOOO WI

Just talked to Ron. He is just about to cross into KY. Truck is running good, but is leaking a little oil from rear main (wouldn't you know I donated my new rear main seal to CARNAC's truck). Anyway, he is adding oil and pressing on. More to follow.:driver:

Bondo Deuce, topless Deuce, bob time

Bruce is totally right. Fenders can be had cheap. I wouldn't even think of fixing that one.

    CUCV Bucket Seat

The M1010 seats/brackets are semi-close to bolt in. You will have to drill one hole in the floor for each seat and one of the 4 mounting points for each seat will have to be made/modified.

    1953 M37 value?

Well, we paid $2,450 for our rust free M37B1. It also has the hard top, winch, heater, hwy gears and detroit locker in the back. The troop seats weren't installed though (and they are a bear to find).

    Spunkys used parts

I am pretty sure he went out of business a few years ago. I also seem to remember he had some shiping issues in the past.

    M35 rocker panel repair

You can probably get a rust free cab for 3-500 dollars, I'd just replace it whole and be done with it. They can be swapped in a weekend.[thumbzup]

    Troop Seats Blueprints/Plans?

You can buy a set alot cheaper than you can make them. Also, can get them w/o wood to ship them too.

Well It looks like we are at change #42 at least. Anyone along the route? Looking at Hwy 24 in Chatanooga, then #57, to #74, to #55, to #39, and finishes at #90 into La Crosse. Ron (73M819) is going to go prolly May 1st, several days before us. We will bring up the rear and be bringing parts...

    Going to buy wednesday

A deuce would not have had a Mack in them. Even if it was a LD, adding a turbo and/or heater would be far easier than dealing with rust.2cents

    Tow Bar Pins - Updated

I also have mil-spec pins, however, I also do have a set of grade 8 bolts (7/8") with bushings. Alot of the old gassers have the 15/16 holes that a mil-spec pin won't fit through. I wonder did they origionally have 15/16" feet????
