    M35 axel heat?

I'll stand by my enginneering, machine design & repair, racing & mechanical experience along with temps taken on a dozen or so trucks over the last few years. While I haven't run SPC charts on these findings, I have checked enough to see a pattern. That pattern is that the right rear hubs...

    M35 axel heat?

You are confusing downforce with the force required to move the truck, this force is lateral. The lateral force to move 13,000# on a set of tires is greater than the lateral force of pulling a set of tires if they had the exact same gravitational (down) force. Remember, we are talking minor...

    M35 axel heat?

While the actual weight (down force) is close, it is not identical due to rotational torque and other variables. The load from driven side to coast side is not. One is pushing a truck & the other is pulling a tire or two.

    M35 axel heat?

I am well aware of my mechanical & engineering background/experience. Maybe you could explain to me why every time I check the hub temps on deuces it typically shows a temp of at least 10° higher reading on the right rears. Not just one truck, not just my trucks. Then explain why an open...

    M35 axel heat?

I'll stand by assessment of why the right side hubs are warmer than the left side.

    M35 axel heat?

open differential, rotational torque, means the right side drives most of the time.

    Trailer bolt pattern

aren't the 416's the same as the M151 wheels?????????????

    M35 axel heat?

Generally 50 to 60° above ambient temps, I.E. if it is 90° out the hubs would be 140° to 150° If it burns your hands you have an issue, and always compare the temp all 6 positions, the right rears will be a little bit warmer than the rest

    Cross country trip?

    10 mpg - 2200 miles = 220 gallons x $4/gal = $880 (coincidence or a sign!) Minimal lumbar support I did a 986 mile trip in under 24 hours in my M880 with 18 foot trailer in tow. Ear plugs - a plus

    M101 Dimensions Folded for Shipping

Yep! Standing them on the tailgate might be a tricky task without a M816 or the like.

    Scraped Gold

Ads on here don't work well at all. I'd craigslist it for 3k, then possibly try ebaaaay next.

    tire size = mph?

This all has been covered in this forum, search & read Basically the taller the tire, the higher the top speed, the harder to stop & slower acceleration.

Best Way to Disable Inertia Brake?

Insert a pin in the hole as described in the TM. I can't see it sticking though, If it were to somehow stick, just undo the brake line.

Are speedometers different between models and years?

all speedo heads are the same, function wise at 1000 revolutions per mile. which is why there are gears to calibrate the readings. You can verify if the head is screwing up as well as the drive gear ratios by using the highway milemarkers drive at least 10 mile markers and check the odometer, if...
