Two bio diesel production units - one in a trailer

carguy455, It was on TRUCKS!TV and Stacey David had a diesel pickup truck. DON'T BUY the one from Freedom fuels, or any other manufacturer unless you just aren't handy AT ALL. The FF one costs about $3000 +, depending on how much you want to produce at a time. Here's the link to one YOU can...

NICE LOOKIN ENGINE! Tell Walter to get some of that 'Liquid Bandaid' stuff. Works wonders on places where a Bandaid just won't stay. Hey, it's no where NEAR his heart and it's just a minor leak...

    M35A3 Wheel Quotation is 'in'

6 lug BUDD wheels 22.5" for about $75 each. I'm picking up four this week or next. I'll take pictures. I already have four with Michelin XDY-1 retreads for the rear. Now all I'm trying to decide is which front tires... Geez, these tires are EX-PEN-SIVE! So if your wheels are $700 each...

Two bio diesel production units - one in a trailer

The article LOOKS like it will be informative. BUT I'm hoarding this months Mother Earth News AND MV magazine until the wife goes out of town at the end of the month for two weeks work in Las Vegas. That way, while she's gone, I have something to read. I know, too weird.

deuce hub-flipping, mounting 1100's on stock rims

Longhunter7, THAT is (was?) a nice looking truck. YOU HAD to paint it yourself. Did you get the bed cover that way or did you paint it yourself? IF you painted it, what type of paint did you use? Can anyone tell me what gaskets/seals are necessary when you flip the hubs. OK, start by...

Two bio diesel production units - one in a trailer

Hey Bjorn, I saw this article in the Feb/Mar 2006 issue of "Mother Earth News", pg 65 and it made me think of you. A biodiesel processor set up in a trailer. Geez, you could stop in little towns along the way, gather up whatever WVO you could find, stop for the night and process it... Or, if...

deuce hub-flipping, mounting 1100's on stock rims

Looking carefully at that particular picture, it doesn't even look like they flipped the hubs. I could be wrong, but it appears they mounted them the same way you would if it were the outside of a pair of tires on the rear.

Parting out three deuces in NY...

HAZMAT - yes it can cost extra if you ship hazmat stuff. I should know. As a gunsmith I buy my ammo several CASES at a time. And there is a HAZMAT charge. It's generally $5 per case. Sometimes more, sometimes less. Having said all that, I had a long chat with my shipper, DHL, and told them...

    20 ton bottle jack air/hydraulic

Sarge, It's both AIR and Hydraulic. Hook the air up via the 1/4 NPT and just push the lever and up it goes. It makes a psh-psh-psh sound as the extra air escapes from the air motor. OR just use the jack handle to pump it to the height you need. That works as well. rmgill, I HAVE a 30 ton...

deuce hub-flipping, mounting 1100's on stock rims

Well, I've been out today pricing tires. The UP side is that I can get more than I paid for the Michelin XDY-1 retreads. The down side is that even having said that, these tires are hugely expensive. $350 - $450 - the lower price is for BFG's and the higher price is for Michelin. The problem...

    20 ton bottle jack air/hydraulic

Just an update. I left the jack in the 'all the way up' position overnight to check for leaks or poor workmanship. As of this morning, everything was as normal. So I lowered it down and will be deciding on the type of tool box to build to keep all this stuff in. It won't fit in the box under...
