ran a 4500 in mine with a 6.5 and loved it. IMO well worth the effort. Yea there pricey but they hold up well. I have one in my DD, one in my scrap hauler (both with 200+k on them) and the 2 i have had im my 1028 with out ANY trouble.

not trying to argue but DODGE NEVER offered a 190hp. I have 6 5.9's ranging from 1990-2001 and none are a 190. like i said 94-95 A/160 M/175, 96-96 A/180 M/215.

OP, keep in mind that the stock cummins hp levels are not gonna have you crankin wheelies in your cucv, 94-95 w/47rh where 160hp (same as 6.2) w/4500 where 175hp. 96-97 47re where 180hp, w/ 4500 215hp...
No thats fine, was just curious. where are you gonna carry the spares? If in the bed how are you gonna get your "dammaged" item back up there? Can we have some picks of your truck offroading?
