Yes, dirty or poor connections generate heat and as such, melt plastic. Remove and discard the fuse. Get a new one but before installing it, make sure the contacts in the fuse box are clean and tight. Maybe even a dab of dielectric grease on the fuse blades. As an aside LMC make a plug and play...
Next time I go to Ohio, I'm going to Skateworld. I believe the last time I skated there was in the 80's. From there off to Huber Gulch where I first tried to skate. Man, I'm old. Sorry for drifitng, every 20 years or so I get homesick.
If you want insurance without restrictions, prepare to pay for it. You will have to strike a balance between restrictions and price. The common laws of business balance are going to prevent you getting a Maserati policy at Yugo pricing. It's not that nobody wants to insure your truck, more...

I agree that no one is trying to improve their 100' times but the 6.2 is anemic in power. The 3.06 low just helps getting things moving easier. Spend enough seat time in the stock CUCV pickup and you will come to appreciate the gears in the 700R4.

My bad! Yeah, I'm pretty sure you can mod the base. FWIW you can replace the hinge section on the seat with reclining hinges from a mid 80s Monte Carlo and get tilt seats which helps some folks.
Grade 8 bolts won't be of much benefit in the sheet metal floor. I would opt for tilt steering, smaller wheel and maybe thin out the foam in the seats. The aftermarket 40/20/40 seats seem to have a pretty thin back but do fun from about $650 up.
Haha, that looks like some of the buldings at Defense Supply Center Columbus. Did you buy this building from GL on your credit card and now have to move it to your back 40?
Wicked work Soni, I love to watch what you and Leonard Jones brew up when you get to brainstorming.
Here is my advice. Study the Operators Manual. TM 9-2320-361-10 is a great start if you have an M35A2. Read it repeatedly. Some items won't make a bit of sense in your head no matter how many times you look at it but when you are sitting in the truck, it will make all the sense in the world...
