If it uses the same filter as my MEP-018a you can use a NAPA FIL 1515. The original filter on my gen set had a plain white can but had "8P" stamped on the bottom. This crossed to the Fram PH8 and the NAPA FIL 1515. 2cents
Mine ran fine without the intank pump running. Started just like normal also. Didn't even know it wasn't working until I went to bleed the fuel filters and nothing.

Same deal here from the local napa. I went and ordered it at NapaOnline. 4 filters and 10 each "O" rings for fuel and oil cans $7.98 shipping.
well I maigt as well give it a spin. Was going to change oil next week so as Crackerjax said "I figured if its good enough for a million dollar combine its good enough for a $2,000 truck."
I was so temped to bid on some of those trailers. Looked like real nice condition compaired to what comes up locally as a rule. Great to hear all went smoothly.
The deuce will run fine. The 15ppm is for newer diesels that have egr's and catalytic converters. the 500ppm has a higher lubrication value which is really better for the ip and injectors on the deuce.
I would like to find fitted covers like that for a -18a and -003a. I guess if all else fails you could have them made at a canvas shop. I would prefer mil surplus though.
