Well with the Px15 plug disconnected, if pin K measures a short circuit, then your problem is along that wire connected to pin k, back toward the brake switches...
The brake switch wiring comes together on the other side of the main light switch from relay K10. It has to, as the main light switch then routes that switch command to either the normal brake lights(activates K10) or the blackout lights.
The drawing shows 2 wires coming off of pin C(one to...
Would be hard to get more than orig driving tow pulleys in different directions, but as drawn it is significantly less, so a little more would be better IMO...
Doghead, the circuit he is having the short circuit on is the one that drives the brake light relay(K10). The relay drives the actual lights, which work fine as they also act as turn signals and hazard flashers...
You would want that idler pulley pushed in farther to keep the belt more wrapped around and engaged with the crank drive pulley. It should have as much belt surface(friction) area engaged as the pulley you are driving...
An issue you will run into is the coolant bypass line is in the same...
Sure it was the brakes and not the running lights? There are two lights in the assembly. If you plug K10 back in and turn on the hazard flashers, are they the same brightness as the lights that came on when you jumped the marker lights?
Ok, this forum engine wont let me upload ipad screenshots anymore:(
CB76 goes to the brake switches then to S4, the main light switch. The output of S4 goes 3 places.
1. Pin 86 on relay K10.
2. Inter-vehicle connector
3. Trailer connector
A short along any of those 3 lines will cause CB76...
Well with the relay K10 installed, you should see 12V from CB76 on one side of the switch and ground thru the coil(coil resistance) on the other side of the switch.
With the relay pulled I would not expect to see a path to ground on that second leg. Does it still pop CB76 with K10 pulled? If...
What cb # is tripping, CB71 or CB76? If CB71 the issue is probably in the column sw. Since you say the turn signals work fine though(uses the same circuitry), I am going to guess that CB76 is what is popping? Turn signals working also tells me the chassis wiring running aft is also OK as...
yes, its normal. both the front glad hands need to be vented. What happens is a little air leaks past the 2way check valves into the service glad hand line when you step on the brakes. If it is capped, that line then becomes a storage "tank". When you let off the pedal, that storage now...
What are the voltages doing WHILE you are pushing the start button. My guess is that the 12V is probably going away when y0u load the circuit by pushing the start button. If so you need to start sampling the voltage along the pathway back toward the batteries until you find where the voltage...
Looking at module 4, I see K11(alt excite) and K26 Neutral start. I would compare the operation of those 2 relays first with the operating truck. What do they do when you turn on main power, turn on ignition and try to start. I would expect both to energize with ignition turned on(and trans in...
Well of course they go somewhere but since the meter is in question the best place is at the meter. The dash isn't so bad once you tilt and extend the steering column.
cb77 and cb83 feed the 12/24V meter switch...
Thats not much draw. A corroded connector or module could perhaps provide a current path and cause more drain when wet?
Looking at the A1 schematic the troop heater wiring bypasses the cutoff switch also so a circuit being created there could also drain the batteries.
Or lastly did it...
