I didn't end up getting to more than clearing the tree from it & moving it. Worked on another long overdue project. But, I did look at it & I think it's good besides the body, as I suspected. Nothing is leaking. Maybe the muffler got dented/bent. But no leaking from the radiator that I see right...

Well, the wonderful south Texas weather treated me well early this morning... It's probably all cosmetic, so I'll be able to just remove the panels & bang them out. But dang, this unit was perfect looking. Just more to add to the list.

Started digging in a bit more a little at a time after work each day this week. Got the tank out. I don't think it was actually bad, but that the brass well nut was not seating properly being so hard to get at. Was nasty in there, so I swapped it with the clean one anyways. New gaskets on...

No one would willingly change. It would mean an entire transmission, wire harness, brackets, and controller change out. Then, add TCM. No fun!

I didn't do it, but I have no way to know if it was changed during it's service life. I suspect it was. Allison stopped WTECII before the A1 started getting made. So, adaptations were made for production, replacement, and service.

I understand that. Mine is a basic truck, so that is what the thread is geared too. 3116 engine & mostly mechanical with a WTECIII transmission.

I didn't give up on this project. Just have a lot of stuff going on. It's moving up on the list though, simply because I put it in my garage so it would annoy me until it was done.
