The heat index recently has motivated me to finally put my A/C in over the last month. I know others are feeling the heat. There was a RedDOT A/C unit that was on Ebay for a HMMWV kit that appears to drop in to the spot where the OEM unit for about 1200. sits. Now poof! It's gone. Dropping...

I recall seeing someone drill into one of the fittings around the transmission cooling hose. I believe Ronmar also deleted or diverted the engine coolant away from the transmission cooling system. Thinking about this too. Maybe too much heat soke from engine to tranny. Can't remember his reason...

Anyone have a readable wiring schematic for these FMTV RedDot units?

I have to admit, I have never rebuilt one of these. I am doing preemptive head rebuild of a Midland this week. I have the compressor out to add the A/C PITA bracket. Any pointers for the valve and spring replacement? I found some videos on this, but most kind of blew through it pretty fast.

When you refer to Haldex, are you also including the Midland brand compressor for spring failures?

Did the OEM system use a Trinary or separate pressure switches?

Thought about that. Certainly doable. Did you use the weather tight connectors or did you bypass them?
