You can hear electricity sometimes too. Like when I dropped a ratchet and it wedged between the starter solenoid terminal and oil filter, and my truck caught fire.
The one pic in that thread lists a 20k, and the drum dia he is looking for. I’m not pulling 200’ of cable off mine to measure the drum. Could you imagine me all tangled up in that? What a mess.
The relief valve is set at 1800psi or so to produce the 20,000lb winch limit, instead of shear pins. Do you need more than 20,000lbs? If not, feed the stock winch motor 1800 and you’re there. That 20,000lb rating is not in a full spool of cable though. Like 3rd layer or something.
If it is a hydraulic winch, the stock truck hydraulic pump is approximately 2500GPM at the recommended max engine speed of 1800rpm when PTO is in use. This hydraulic system is dedicated to the winch alone. Not sure if that helps you or not.
It was more of an info post rather than a classified, for those that want to save $ and do it themselves. If you are interested in purchasing from me, PM we and we can go from there. 1 week lead time, nothing kept in stock.
Glad everybody is having fun. I dont have or sell the 130s anymore. The 24v 70 amp Delco 21Si clones can be had off the internet for $70-$100 delivered including 1 year warranty. They appear to be more reliable than the genuine ones, actually. The correct 8.3L Cummins bracket is $100 from...
I'll measure and post this for you late tonight. My truck is an A2, so it has the angle filler neck. Core tank dimensions may be same as A1 and first gen, not sure, but assuming to be so.
That's not stuck bad, just slipping/spinning. Could you just run the rear cable across the road to a tree? Block the road of course, but..... Not sure how far away that is. Even if another vehicle is used as the anchor or tug, I don't think that would be a snatch block job?
I run 2 NAPA group 31's in my M925a2, modern starter and alternator, no solar or external charger, and start right up on a cold January morning, even if sitting for 6 months prior. I wanted half the under-seat storage back that 2 of the 6TL batteries were taking up. My engine is half the size...
ABS sensors are just very simple VR (Variable Reluctance) sensors, which, are just coils of wire. You should be able to measure that channel’s resistance at the ECU connector, and know if the problem lies on in the ECU circuitry or the harness/sensor.
Love the "Chinesium".
Actually, a thin metal heater core should radiate a ton of heat, more than an old designed thick one. I know it is not the tough guy thing to do, and especially with these trucks, but it would probably pump out more heat.
The low velocity blower fan could use a...
“Jake” engine compression brake is a hydraulic teeter-totter. It uses the valve actuation of one cylinder as a hydraulic pump to burp another cylinder’s exhaust valves open momentarily at the top of its compression stroke. This prevents that cylinder from acting like an air spring. It...
