I ruled out the Gabriel after digging some more last night. Honestly can't remember why now but the twin tube is another reason to not go with it.
Great finds. I think the issue with the Titan shock is finding proper rubber bushings. Otherwise, it would work great I bet.
Zed254 sent me a PM since he started digging in on the shock issue before I could get to it after work.
He found Monroe part number 66120. It's a cab shock for trucks. It's really close in measurements to the 1844-2 shock mentioned & linked above. Here is a link...
They want $12.99 shipping. Usually the big places kill you with small orders. 10 pack I found on the auction site for $5 with 3 day shipping. I can have spares if others end up needing some.
Fuel level & float gaskets are new & not leaking. I replaced those not long ago to remedy that issue.
Fuel fill neck gasket seemed good to go & not brittle when I removed the tank.
The gasket is on the fuel cap, but, my guess is that's the issue.
I'll do some searching on the thread for what...
I found a cheap source for the MOV modification. 10 pack for like $6.
Did a bunch of work on the trailer... it's coming along well.
Anyone have a solution for the diesel fill leaking when towing? Mine seems like leak way more than it should. The gasket is there. I really don't like spilling...
Well, I'm done for tonight.
Shock is definitely bad as you can see by the pictures that it stays compressed.
Here are some links to replacement of the shock that I know of right now... I don't like the prices;

Funny, I just got done spending a few hours adjusting the service brakes & ripping the front end apart & found this...
I'm going to remove it all the way for inspection but I'm sure it's bad.
Since there was no fluid in the master cylinder at all when I got it, the trailer slammed forward when...
You know, I actually though about this. Thanks for the reminder. I got the brand new one on their at no cost to me so I'm going to leave it on there until I can get the proper one.
Once everything comes in & I mount it, I will share some details. Want to be sure it all works out first!
I plan to just connect it to the existing connection on the generator so there isn't a whole lot of modification. I can then also remove the hose quickly to attach to another source if I...
Spent some time on the trailer today.
Got a bottle of DOT 5 fluid from the local auto parts store. The master cylinder was empty. Filled it & bled the brakes according to TM-9-2330-202-13-P work package 53. Page 265 of the .PDF file. After getting the air & crud out, the system seems to be...
It is just part of the pigtail that would attach to the military truck. Basically is a rubber block that has connections in it that you can't get too. You can see it in the video I posted in the post above this when I remove my military pigtail harness.
I wanted to share my video here as it may be helpful.
Also, here is what I found for wires with a 4 pin & 7 pin harness.
For a 7 pin harness;
Green goes to 21
Brown goes to 22-460
Red goes to 22-461
White is the ground
For a 4 pin harness;
Green goes to 22-460
Yellow goes to 22-461
Brown goes...
Honestly, I haven't really dug in on them yet. All I did was go get some DOT 5 fluid today. My truck is big enough that I don't really need them but would like them to work. I have never worked on a brake system before except on an ATV... never needed too. I have the TM to guide me. I'm...
Thanks. Browsed some of your threads & saw the MOV modification... don't have it done on mine I believe. Will check tomorrow & order the needed parts if it isn't there. Pretty sure it's not. Only the fuse.
Added a link to the video I put together in post #1. It's still uploading as I type this, so it may not be available right away. Long & boring, but should help anyone looking to covert their trailer.
Here's what it looks like with all the work done & ready for my MEP-802A to be mounted.
Here's what it looks like after I mounted the generator. Put the accessory box & step plate that I removed at the start of the project on in my own spot.
Generator is all mounted up. Pulls great. I must say that the unit runs much more quiet on this trailer than my other one.
I put the accessory box & the step plate in a different spot. Not sure what to do on the other end yet. Thinking about a fuel tank.
Everything is done on the trailer & the service department at my local Kubota is going to move the generator over for me this afternoon!
I did discover that there is a little brake line damage. Will probably need to replace the lines to repair. Shouldn't be bad but it isn't necessary right now.
Zed254 in my MEP-802A Fix-up Thread shared a link to some of the parts for the surge brakes along with a parts break downs. You will need to know your exact model on your trailer, but cross referencing the TM part numbers with this website will find you want you need...
