Almost done clearing the front section. All the debris from the Water Oak are burned or stacked. Just need to chop up the shrubs, overhanging branches, and saplings to complete the clearing.

The firewood stack has low quality wood. The bark has moss and other plant life growing on it that was killing the branches. On the larger logs that I want to cut into boards, I will remove the bark before storing.

My new hobby: Wood military vehicles

Spent half the day on errands and food shopping -so I only did one shift (1-1/2 hrs) on the tree debris. Two burn barrels filled and burned and cut up some large logs for easier moving. I should be able to get 3 shifts in tomorrow (weather permitting).

I have enough issues with grass around the barrels catching fire. Not a fan of bon fires for that reason. Burn barrels are very efficient at getting rid of the brush. They empty out in half an hour. I can watch them on my CCTV camera while cooling off inside the house.

Actually the heat is the negative part of doing the job. Using the brushless pruners and Mini chainsaw is the fun part. They make the task fun. I was using hand pruners for the first 2 days and my hand was sore. The generic pruner that works with Makita batteries has made the difference...

Making slow progress on clearing all the cuttings from the trees. Had 2 burn barrels delivered Tuesday to make it easier to get rid of small branches/twigs and leaves. I've been using pruners to cut the small branches to fit flat in the burn barrels. Tonight I got my wireless pruner from...
