New Member from the Fort Campbell area

Welcome to the madness. As to putting a different transmission and transfer case I would probably keep the transmission and just add the transfer case of a m35a2, should have air engaged front and is divorced from the transmission.

fuel shutoff solenoid on the cummins 8.3

Will am I crazy or did I read that the voltage for opening the solenoid was 24v as you are cranking but drops to 12v once the engine is running? Wouldn't that allow just one battery to cause the problem?

So dont know if i should post pics of this

Don't burn it! Keep it with the truck or go by a military museum and donate it these types of things are almost always lost to time or trashed. It probably is not of any value to an enemy and will be a neat little bit of history. If you are worried about the classification take a few pictures...

    goldneagle's 1985 M1008 recovery and restoration thread...

Duh yes I know the wire from the + on front goes to negative on rear battery but if you look where I said at the ground or the - sign on the front battery there is a red wire going somewhere.

    m929 dump.engine lock up ???

Hey John I know you aren't a newbie but have you tried slaving it off? Just a thought but the batteries could have gone bad as it cranked over the first time.

    Fuel pump air cylinder

Make sure the rear pto next to the door is disengaged and locked in position then check the little valve that engages the air. Sounds like one of them moved or failed.

    Wheel Adapters ?

Not 100% but I want to put the bigger tires and 10 bolt wheels on a couple of my trailers. I am looking at changing the hubs, not sure but hopefully the spindle will be the same size so I can keep the axles.

    fuel bleeding problem

This sounds like a bad pickup in the tank and or 3 gallons is not a lot of fuel may not have enough in the tank to be picked up.

Help getting these fuel fittings apart

Just take it to the hydraulic shop with you and ask them to remove it they should have line wrenches that size and not damage anything.

    m936a2 few questions

Seeetk30 if you would read the -10 please, I would answer most anything else you might need clarification on by phone if you wanted. It really is a good read for anyone who has the green fever. And what's cool you can skip around and it won't screw-up the ending. If not at least read the data...

NDCC Tire Design --> Obsolete and Unsafe?

Now offroad I will say they work well if you air down and know how to drive. I have driven a M35a2c in a mud bog and walked right past where most of the big boy unlimited class got stuck, so I believe that they work well off road

NDCC Tire Design --> Obsolete and Unsafe?

Now as to the road safety there is no comparison between the two if both are new and in good condition the newer squared off tires work much better wet or dry.
