    Vietnam Guntruck Gathering XIII

PB, Tony will sleep better without hearing me snoring or arguing about who is going to drive Proud American. I'm glad that it's running correctly again and I hate that I will not be able to take it to the Gathering.

    Vietnam Guntruck Gathering XIII

Sir, my truck is not a rare one. I was planning to go with PB and possibly drive Proud American if I could talk Tony into riding in the gun box. I agree that it's a good avatar though. I was installing a heater on my truck and was wearing some old uniform items that I had been issued because...

M25 2.5 Ton Rockwell Rebuild Needed near Atlanta

Contact Clinto on here. He is about as thorough on repairs to these trucks as you'll find, including a job like yours. He's near Athens so not too far from you.

Steel Soldiers MV of the month 2015 - August VOTE HERE

Vote for the Goat. He was some fierce competition for me in May. It's a very cool and unique vehicle and I'm amazed by how far along it's come in such a short time.

    Vietnam Guntruck Gathering XIII

PB, I won't be able to join this year. I've got a job interview for a promotion at work on Thursday morning, so wish me luck on that!!! I'll make it next year.

    driveshaft removal

Being a Wrecker Operator, we run into this all the time. Take the bolts off of two opposing caps. Kick the driveshaft close to the yoke and it'll loosen one cap/bearing assembly. Now kick the other direction. Don't loose the needle bearings or the u-joint will have to be replaced. Don't...

    Cooler question

Trans Cooler is only installed like that on Tractors and Wreckers.

MV of the month - August 2015

PB, I was wondering who the first person to call me out on that would be. The Ga National Guard owns that truck so she is ineligible. I wouldn't have allowed it to get entered into the polls if it had gone un-noticed. I only get to hang out with her on Drill Weekend but I've done some...

MV of the month - August 2015

LMTV's Again??? Let me add "Becka Tha Wrecka" Ferro approved of the name since he used it first. It's an M1089A1P2 LMTV and she's a hard working truck when she's not buried to the axles in my parent's front yard dragging Deuces and CUCV's out.

Steel Soldiers MV of the month 2015 - July VOTE HERE

Never thought I'd say it. I thought Texas Members were going to jump in and beat me 2 months ago and I skated to Victory. I suppose you are in the clear camouj7 but the Goat that Mkcoen owns is a nice vehicle.

    Vietnam Guntruck Gathering XIII

Need a driver for Proud American??? I don't have any other obligations for the time period and could meet in Columbus in time to SP.

Steel Soldiers MV of the month 2015 - May VOTE HERE

Puzzle piece is a symbol for Autism, Superman graphic inserted is to show the incredible strength to carry on with such a condition. I think it fits in consideration of my son Briggs.

Last Idea!!! I don't have any ink but this looks cool. I think that I will get a tag made instead to put on the front of the truck.

    M1088a1 issues

I'm having a similar issue with a M1089A1P2 LTAS Cab Wrecker. It doesn't behave as your described all of the time but it does occasionally. The flashing odometer is due to drained batteries. We run into that issue quite often in the National Guard as the trucks are only run once a month most...

MV of the Month - July 2015

Nice looking ride!!! You gave me a run in May, I'll give a nod of approval. Campaign Hard!!!

MV of the Month - July 2015

Does anyone have a photo and member name on the M915/M146 chassis mounted extended frame truck that was at the GA Rally last year? I'm thinking his screen name is AV8OR from Florida. I'd like to nominate that machine as I'm sure an untold amount of fabrication time went into that project.

Steel Soldiers MV of the month 2015 - June VOTE HERE

Mike was just fussing. How a CUCV beat the GOAT still surprises me. I would have voted for him if I didn't have a truck in the running as his transformation is impressive. If it's any consolation, the CUCV did a Victory Lap after Winning last month, now it needs a new battery. It started fine...

    M1078 Towing M1101

I drive a M1089A1P2 occasionally. It's the new "Wrecker" variant on this line of trucks. While I never flat tow, I have done quite a few lift tows of fellow MTV variants. When towing a "5 Ton" dual rear axle variant (Current MTV's only), I leave the blue air hose unhooked as they do not...

Steel Soldiers MV of the month 2015 - May VOTE HERE

I'm back home for a few days. I want to make good on my promise of sending out a framed photo of Briggs and his Truck. You've seen the picture but if you would like one to hang on your wall and you voted for me, send me your contact info so that I can mail it out!

    No Start, Engine Spins slowly

Agree with both of you. Upon having Soldier B attempt to start truck, I'm reading 25.14 volts key off, 24.12 volts key on glowplugs warming, basically nothing when start is attempted. Batteries just died after sitting a few weeks. I wish I would have gotten some Hawkers when someone had them...
