a 2000 lb trans jack from HF is only $200 and a good investment if you have a bunch of friends who may need to 'rent' it. $195 for the brng/seal kit is full retail, you can do a lot better.

replace the front axle assy and the transfer case with an air shift to bring it into at least the 20th century. you might want to consider what engine is in this truck, if it is not marked TD on the block, it might just not be worth the time & money to do anything with it.

quite a bit of diversity going on, of the 8 sets sold, 3 are going in m-37, 1 in a m-715, 2 in a stock deuce, 1 in a deuce with a lds, 1 in a bobbed deuce, and 1 in a deuce with a 8.4 cummins.

i see 1st / rev slider, 3rd damaged. until it is apart you will not know many other factors. is the counter shaft ok? my GUESS would be no. plus bearings and gasket set i see $300 of parts if the CS is bad. also the keys could have sheared on the mainshaft so there is another $100. take it...
but we are talking about vehicle air dryers and neither of these are used. the only common type is the pressure cycle type where beads readily absorb moisture from pressurized air and release almost all of it when the pressure suddenly drops.

9.00-20 tires would be 1925 rpm at 60. .69od is all the motor can handle, and that is a final ratio of 4.64. you are talking about a final ratio of 3.82, it's not gonna happen.

if you are driving from another state, don't forget to get your IFTA exemption 15 day pass so you don't get a big ticket. check with your state, maryland issues them to trucks with historic tags and apparently other states have to honor them.

several gauges need power for the electronics of the gauge. just use a dropping resistor based on the current draw of the gauge. (ohms law formulas) i think these may be the more accurate gauges as they do not load the TC.

i built this truck a few years ago out of mostly new parts. the pictures have been compiled and posted to part of my web site. a lot of them are of the original build and a few like the heat and a/c are later. since it has all 3 air locking axles i got a new data plate for a m-621 and call it a...
