    Are Runflats worth trying to save???

    You could add a simple 4 pin relay on the 12v side after the ig switch to flow up to 30 amps from a larger wire direct to battery, if you wanted things to automatically shut off when you shut the ignition off.     There is valving in the main driver side steering gear box that determines if the pressure from the PS pump is utilized or simply recirculated. Sounds like this could be your issue, if you believe pump is OK.

    It is a 2005 engine, but I am still going to stuff a new rear crank seal in it while it is out. I will likely transfer over my 6CTA flywheel housing, fan drive, and exhaust manifold, to keep everything at the same locations. Oil pan too if need be for front axle clearance.
