I changed mine to a temp sensor which sends 24 volts to a valve that open to send air to clutch. It opens at 195 and closes after a 15 degree drop. Works great.

Don't know if it's your problem. But there's been reports the positive cable gets the insulation rubbed off under cab and could be causing a short.

What's wrong with yours. I had a transmission burn out with broke clutch packs And had to reuse mine. I sent it to a transmission guy he took it apart and cleaned it and checked everything.it's back in service
